Palin Made a Mistake

I may catch some flak for this, but I’m prepared. While I very much like Sarah Palin and what she represents, I do believe she made a serious error when answering a question concerning the issue of Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

If John McCain was born to two American citizens, then he is a natural born citizen. He did not have to become a citizen when his parents returned to the states.

The Secretary of State of Hawaii has very carefully worded all statements re O’s birth certificate. She has stated she has seen it. Never mentioned if it was valid or not.

I suppose I should have put “/s” after my post 79 but anyone who read the others should get it. :-)

“There was no such thing as a government issued Birth Certificate when the Constitution was written and ratified, therefore demanding this document has nothing to do with a COnstitutional mandate.”

Thechnically correct, but the essence of the issue is whether Obama is qualified to be President.

That qualification has birth place requirements.

A properly verified document, now called a “Birth Certificate” is how present day Americans prove whether or not they are qualified for many things. Among such things is the office of the President of the USA.

It’s surprising the number of “freepers” that side with Obama. Or at least do minimal investigating.

Mark Levin actually addressed the B.C. on his show last night for the first time that I'm aware of. He made a point of saying something like "I'm not saying he isn't a natural born citizen but, if he is, why not put the Birthers argument to rest by showing it."

The question is not why people want to see it, but why Obama did not produce it five minutes after it was requested.
His refusal to produce it is a legitimate reason for suspicion.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

An honest man would be **HONORED** to immediately prove in every way possible that he was a natural born citizen and eligible to be president and Commander in Chief of our troops.

You are right. His refusal is a legitimate reason for suspicion.

**What does Obama’s actions say about his honor and honesty?

** What does Obama’s actions’ say about the honor and honesty of those who defend him?

Levin. Another “minnow” MINO ( man in name only).

It takes a real woman to teach a minnow how to be a real man.

Ditto for Rush, Hannity, Beck, Medved and the rest!

Funny, on my way home from work last night my local station was replaying the Rusty Humphries interview, and as I started to drive the interview was at the very spot where Rusty asked Sarah if the BC issue was valid.

All she said was that it was fair game just like associations were fair game, and past voting records were fair game. When pressed by Rusty if she would bring the issue out, she said she didn't have to because the electorate was asing those questions. Then she recalled her own birth certificate issues vis-a-vis Trig, and that if it was fair game to question Trig's true parent, why wasn't it fair to ask Obama to live up to the same standard.

You can listen to the whole interview here, and the BC question is at 6:49.

“I see nothing getting done in 2010 because it’s an election year. Politicians do nothing in the election year.”

Now that is a good thing. I agree. Although maybe they can rescind some of the crap that congress has done to the American people.

Obama is a bust and will go down is the worst president in history. Carter should be kissing his butt. LOL

I have to agree with you, she stepped into this issue, then backed out of it, without adding any clarity, so I would have to say it was a mistake.

Sarah Palin: I think the public, rightfully, is still making it an issue. I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t know if I would have to bother to make it an issue ’cause I think there are enough members of the electorate who still want answers.

That's stepping in it?! LOL

I agree. She stuck it out there, unlike Beck and Coulter and the rest of them
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I hold Ann Coulter in special CONTEMPT! She wasn't just silent, and she didn't merely disagree. She was INSULTING!

Coulter called those who have **legitimate** concerns about Obama’s eligibilty “CRANKS”.

Coulter used the KKK to imply that we were as few in number as those marching in a KKK parade. Then she wrote and essay defending her remarks and it was plain from the essay that she is deliberately lying by using the DNC talking points or completely brain dead.

I will NEVER buy another of Coulter’s books again. I **will ** take every opportunity I can find to remind others of her insulting stand on Obama’s eligibility.

As for us being “finge” as Coulter states, polls show that 51% of Republicans don't even believe Obama was born in the U.S.! The percentages would be higher if the pollsters had asked if there were doubts about his natural born status. But...To Coulter we are as few in number as those marching in a KKK parade!

Palin was brilliant! Unlike Coulter she recognizes that more than 51% of Republicans can NOT have their concerns ignored. This more than 51% have concerns that MUST be satisfactorily addressed!

As the biological child of two US Citizens performing military duty in defense of the US. McCain’s place of birth is documented and in the public domain.

Any official in the Electoral College or any citizen could have challenged his eligibility at any time. The documentation was available for it.

Obama was not the biological child of two US citizens on military assignment for the US government. He has not presented proof of his eligibility and has evaded all challenges to it.

“she stepped into this issue”

This was what I posted and you only regurgitated her statement, please explain how it clarifies the issue... if it doesn’t why make a statement.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

She was BRILLIANT!

When 51% of Republicans do not believe that Obama was born in the U.S. that means the percentage with doubts about it are even greater.

It would be IMPOSSIBLE for her to tip toe around this stinking carcass in the living room. She **wisely** understand this especially when millions are yelling and pointing at the decomposing mess!

My post had a question mark. You don't answer questions or explain your stance? Ok.

Have a nice day!

Show me where the COLB was certified by anyone in Hawaii.

The photograph of the COLB posted by Factcheck.org shows the back of the COLB which has the following:

"I certify this is a true copy or abstract of the record on file in the Hawaii State Department of Health"
It's got a signature (signature stamp?) of Alvin T Onaka.

There's lots of things to go after 0bama about - claiming there's no certification on the COLB isn't one of them.
