Listen to the Lars Larsen interview.
He asks some pointed questions about Illegal Immigration.
She is stating positions on this issue much closer to the general feeling here at FreeRepublic. That being said, she left unanswered, to some extent, the issue of what to do with those already here and whether or not she would be in favor of a “pathway to citizenship”.
She also deals with the issue of the Huckabee’s commutation of Clemmons. She says it was a horrible mistake on his part and something she would never had done.
With the exception of the “Pathway to citizenship” thing, which I fully expect us to find out in complete detail from her when OZero’s Amnesty plan comes up for discussion, she has hit everything out of the park.
She has my vote for 2012!

“No, I am not for amnesty. Illegal aliens are called illegal for a reason.....but if they are not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.”
WOW, so that outta shut up the “She is for amnesty for illegals” people
To: Sarah Barracuda
Until she actually rebukes the “pathway to citizenship” crap, she has not shut up anybody. This interview mirrors some of what she told Univision last year during that interview.

Garbage!
She did not say she was for the "Pathway to Citizenship", she just did not answer that portion of the question clearly.
She said there needs to be a fence on the border to keep future illegals out and that if they are not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.
Like I said before, I am 100% sure she will clear up the ambiguity as OZero attempts to roll out his Amnesty program.
Quit trying to put words in her mouth she didn't say.

She's had several occasions over the last year in which to clear up the ambiguity. She deliberately chooses not to.

Whether, as you say, she "deliberately chooses not to" or not, she will not avoid the subject as she gets more and more airtime as the subject becomes the #1 political subject of the day.
It is not a general established pattern of behavior of hers; she does not avoid issues or subjects. She is a straight shooter and her position on this very point will be public soon.
By the way, at this early stage, who are the leading 2012 Presidential candidate where you are concerned?

I went back and looked up the interview. In response to the question:
To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
She said:
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.
That interview is now 13 months old and she has never refuted her support for a pathway to citizenship. You can claim that she was being ambiguous or that she was forced to say that by Juan McAmnesty, and I'll even support you to an extent given what I know of the campaign, but she's been free and clear of the campaign for a year now and has had ample opportunities in dozens of interviews to come out one way or the other.
I'm like you, I want potential leaders to be honest with the American public about their stances on important issues.

To be clear, I did not mean the interview she gave WHILE SHE WAS THE VP of A CANDIDATE THAT SUPPORTED SUCH POSITIONS.
I was referring to her interview with Lars Larsen and in that interview she did not answer that part of the question.
Your attempt to impugn her with this statement:
I'm like you, I want potential leaders to be honest with the American public about their stances on important issues.
falls flat as well. There is nothing about Sarah that would leave an HONEST person to believe she is not being honest about her positions on the issue. With the possible exception of Duncan Hunter, she is the straightest shooter of any potential 2012 POTUS candidate.
Furthermore, you have still refused to answer my question concerning who among the potential 2012 candidates you are currently supporting even though it is early in the game.
So, care to come out from under the covers and tell who you are supporting right now?

Why didn't she answer it? It's a pretty straightforward issue - either you support it or you don't.
Furthermore, you have still refused to answer my question concerning who among the potential 2012 candidates you are currently supporting even though it is early in the game.
I didn't because I don't see any potential candidates at this point that I'm interested in. I don't see Palin is running in 2012, and the Republicans that are probably going to run are all RINOs. I made the mistake of supporting the GOP and its RINO candidates from 1988 - 2008 and I'm not making that mistake anymore.
I do like some things about Palin - I like that she's willing to push conservative third party candidates, and I like that she's willing to give a keynote at a convention next year that will be made up of mostly third party supporters.
If you wonder whether I would vote for her, for a start she'd have to be running for a third party.

Great interview.
I didn't know she liked Huckabee that much. Well, he is a likable guy, just wrong on some issues.
