White House Party Crashers Linked to Obama’s Radical Pal Rashid Khalidi
Gateway Pundit ^ | 11-28-09 | Jim Hoft

From the Polo Contacts Website–

“America’s Cup Polo Pre-Event with President-Elect Barack Obama”

From Left to Right is: Randy Jackson, better known as a Judge on American Idol – his previous life he was a bass player for the Rock band JOURNEY, which also performed at the America’s Polo Cup.

Others pictured are Black Eyed Peas Rock Band, Tareq Salahi the President of the America’s Polo Cup, President Elect Obama, Fergie from Black Eyed Peas and Michaele Salahi a former Miss USA and SuperModel.

American Power discovered this on the White House party crashers- They belong to a radical anti-Israeli group:

***

Tareq Salahi, the polo-playing intruder, is a Palestinian nationalist with ties to the American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP) , a pro-Palestine lobby demanding the “right of return” for all Palestinian refugees and their descendants. The “right of return” has long been considered the backdoor to Israel’s destruction.

But not only that: ATFP President Ziad Asali is an America-basher who blamed 9/11 on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Asali was a lead U.S. official to PLO terrorist Yassir Arafat’s funeral in 2004. And in a position paper in 2007, the ATFP called for a power-sharing agreement at the Palestinian Authority, which would have included the State Department’s designated-terrorist group, Hamas.

***

And, there’s more…

Canada Free Press reported that the American Task Force for Palestine (ATFP) has airbrushed references to Salahi from its website:

*** We do know for a fact that among the slew of memberships on charitable boards, Tareq Salahi is a former member of The American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP). The only way to know for a fact is because even though ATFP scrubbed all references to Salahi as a board member, he can still be found on Google cache. (Canada Free Press)

Sad that White House Secret Service are looking like Keystone Kops in the aftermath of Obama’s very first state house dinner in the tent.

While the media is fixated on the hitch in Michaele Salahi’s git-along, there can be no doubt that these recently minted “party crashers” really get around.

***

American Power has more on the Salahi’s leadership role with the the American Task Force on Palestinian, the “moderate” rights groups pushing a thinly-veiled program of Palestinian nationalism and the “right of return” (the backdoor destruction of Israel).

***

According to Discover the Networks, ATFP’s former vice president is Rashid Khalidi, the Columbia University Middle East Studies professor and militant Palestinian rights activist.

Khalidi cites the late Edward Said as his major influence, and according to the entry cited, “As with Said before him, Khalidi’s involvement with the Palestinian cause goes beyond mere support.”

And, “Khalidi so strongly identified with the aims of the PLO, which was designated as a terrorist group by the State Department during Khalidi’s affiliation with it in the 1980s, that he repeatedly referred to himself as ‘we’ when expounding on the PLO’s agenda.”

Also, according to Campus Watch, ATFP remains in full support Kahlidi, for example, during charges of academic misconduct in 2005, at the time of Senator Barack Obama’s meeting with Tareq Salahi. See, “ATFP EXPRESSES FULL SUPPORT FOR COLUMBIA PROFESSOR RASHID KHALIDI.

Note too that Obama’s ties to the Palestinian community became something of an issue during the 2008 campaign. See, the Los Angeles Times, “Allies of Palestinians See a Friend in Obama.”

Plus, from Andrew C. McCarthy and Claudia Rosett, “In Obama’s Hyde Park, It’s All in the Family: Passing Anti-American Radicalism From Generation to Generation.

***

As you may recall. The LA Times hid the tape of Barack Obama attending a 2003 Jew-bash where he praised and toasted the former PLO operative Rashid Khalidi.

With Barack Obama, it’s always about the radicalism. Always.

It looks like the Salahi security breach is much more than just an “embarassment” for the Secret Service.

Discover The Networks: Rashid Khalidi

# Professor of Middle East Studies at Columbia University
# Former PLO operative
# Has justified as legitimate Palestinian "resistance" that results in death of armed Israelis
# Rejects the possibility of a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

*snip*

As with Said before him, Khalidi's involvement with the Palestinian cause goes beyond mere support. News reports -- including a 1982 dispatch from Thomas Friedman of the New York Times -- suggest that he once served as Director of the Palestinian press agency, Wikalat al-Anba al-Filastinija. Khalidi's wife, Mona, was reportedly the agency's main English-language editor between 1976 and 1982. Khalidi so strongly identified with the aims of the PLO, which was designated as a terrorist group by the State Department during Khalidi's affiliation with it in the 1980s, that he repeatedly referred to himself as "we" when expounding on the PLO's agenda. Additional evidence of Khalidi's intimacy with the PLO can be seen in his involvement with the organization's so-called "guidance committee" in the early 1990s.

*snip*

Characterizing Israel as a "racist" state that is "basically an apartheid system in creation," Khalidi claims that the Israeli army is in possession of "awful weapons of mass destruction (many supplied by the U.S.) that it has used in cities, villages and refugee camps."

Couple Who Crashed State Dinner Seek To Sell Story For Hundreds Of Thousands of Dollars

The D.C. version of Richard Henne and Falcon...

As White House officials fended off new questions about how a fame-seeking couple finessed their way into the president’s glittering state dinner last week, the aspiring reality-TV stars themselves began trying to sell their story for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Television industry executives said on Saturday that Michaele and Tareq Salahi had postponed plans for an interview Monday on CNN’s “Larry King Live” and were seeking top-dollar bids for their first television interview.

As questions continued to swirl about the pair’s most remarkable appearance to date, a television network executive, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the network does not publicly comment on payments, said the couple’s asking price for an interview was in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. “They are asking for best offers from all the networks,” the executive said.

Programs quietly pay steep fees for photographs and videos to secure interviews in some cases.Separately, a CNN spokesman confirmed that the appearance on Mr. King’s talk show was postponed on Friday.

It would be good if they were not rewarded for breaking the law, but it looks like in the age of tabloid television, that won't happen...

These guys from the Middle East always pretend to possess a flair for fashion. The Jacket is a double breasted, slim fit. Fine if you are young and slim.

Cheap ensemble, not a tux. No satin on the lapels, just a knockoff piece of crappola and cheap which is indicated by the wrinkles in the bottom of the Sport Coat and wrinkles in the pants at the waist.

The jacket doesn’t even fit correctly in the sleeves. 3/4” to long and he looks to be wearing barrel cuff on the shirt. Okay, I don’t blame for that, I sometimes don’t feel like wearing french cuffs.

The biggest faux paux? Those piece of crap Ed Hardy Shoes. I can’t stand them. The bend up, as if they have been worn several times and left in the closet without a shoetree in them.

So I am sitting here watching Fox News and they have some dude analyzing the people involved and the security risks and I am thinking “What gives?”

We here at Free Republic have known, for at least 24 hours, that the Party Crashers are friends of Obama and have been for at least 5 years.

How is that not the story? I mean, shouldn’t Fox be asking questions about this relationship and giving it light using their media power?

The news must stop this lame story. We know that there a minimum of 3 challenges that take place before you even enter the White House. There are an additional 3 to 4 challenges as you go through the White House and into the tent.

Once in the tent, the SS has a list of those allowed to co-opt Barry O.’s time and what that maximum face time is. All else are excluded.

Barry O. is a busy guy and he can’t have all 300 people approaching him and those that do must be friends, family and those with an agenda to the State.

There is now way the Party Crashers got face time with Barry O. unless they fit the criteria. They even got Photos with hugs of Joe Biden and Rahm Emanuel.

How? Well, they are friends of Barry O. and he personally cleared them.

Barry O. cleared his friends to enter with a camera crew? Yep and that is a higher level of security risk. Who the hell enters a State dinner with a film crew?

Now the crew could have been just one guy or two, at most. However, said crew would not be on the list and they are not only an additional risk, requiring further screening to ensure their equipment does not contain covert C4 or a gun in the camera but, they are an additional cost to the party.

You don’t really expect additional people, who finding themselves in the White House, wouldn’t take some hors devours and a drink or two, do you?

Bottom line, this is a lame news story to pump the show the friends of Barry O. will be in. It is shameful the White House is engaged in media promotion of a show. Doesn’t seem like an interest of the State.

It is also silly and bewildering the media continue to promote the story of Barry O.’s friends as Party Crashers.

“Fox News”, stop this silly story or expose it for what it is or become irrelevant. We know you are doing what you can to garner favor with Barry O. for interviews but this is not how gain eyes on your Ads. We just turn the challenge when the story comes on.

Someone tell Fox News that they need to drop the story or give light to the relationship.

I am sitting here watching Chris Wallace and they just had a little discussion and Dana Perino(Gawd she is beautiful). They just continue to pretend that Barry O. and the Don Juan wannabe with the cheap ass ensemble aren’t friends.

Weird.

Dana even explained the challenges that take place just getting in and they all just pretended to wonder how it could happen.

This whole thing gets weirder and weirder. Looks like they are continuing to distance Obama’s possible friendship/acquaintance with the couple and Taleq Salahi in particular.

Check this out:

“State Issues Warning on Hume Charity”

http://www.fauquier.com/news/2009/may/20/polo-charity-salahi/print/

“The foundation did submit a registration form in October. But Journey For the Cure didn't submit the required paperwork to go along with it, according to Wright. Specifically, the foundation failed to provide its financial records, bylaws, information about any fundraising contracts and related materials, Wright said.

After requesting the information several times, Wright said he finally notified Tareq Salahi of Oasis Vineyards and other people who appeared to be on the foundation's board via e-mail on April 20 that the organization was not registered to solicit in Virginia. He informed the recipients in the e-mail that a warning letter would be written against the foundation.

Most organizations comply once a warning has been issued. Failure to register can result in civil or criminal penalties, Wright said. Perpetrators can face civil penalties of up to $5,000 per violation.

Salahi, who is on the foundation's board of directors, was apparently traveling overseas early this week and could not be reached for comment on the state's allegations.”

And this:

“Polo impresario under fire for ‘allegedly charitable’ charity”

http://dev.www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/blogs/yeas-and-nays/Polo-impresarios-under-fire-for-allegedly-charitable-charity-46245897.html

“...As first reported by the Fauquier Times-Democrat, Tareq Salahi is on the foundation's board of directors. He and his wife, Michaele, run the annual America's Polo Cup (APC) match each spring, which attracts Washington's moneyed set, as well as luxury sponsors such as Land Rover, Cartier and Ritz-Carlton. They also put on a fall match on the National Mall.”

If they are not going to jail for party crashing they will with a RICO charge.

We do know for a fact that among the slew of memberships on charitable boards, Tareq Salahi is a former member of The American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP). The only way to know for a fact is because even though ATFP scrubbed all references to Salahi as a board member, he can still be found on Google cache. (Canada Free Press)

Here's more from the Wayback Machine. I'm sure there is plenty more proof there besides what's in Google Cache.

This is more definitive proof than a reference to Google Cache. I only randomly picked dates from the archive. I don't know when this article first appeared or how long it remained on their site. I'm sure there are more if people continued a methodical search.

From the August 13, 2005 copy of the American Task Force on Palestine website, there is this article, ATFP Board Member, Palestinian-American, Captains US Polo Team in Match Against Princes Charles and Harry.
