Casey is an idiot, and the writer is correct. Our elites simply do not understand Islam.

First lesson:

It's a culture

It's a religion

It's a form of government

It IS the government

It's the law.

They cut off the heads of unbelievers while taxing Jews and Christians into poverty.

There's not a whole lot more you can say about it really.

The truth is that the Constitution's treatment of religion is premised upon concepts originating from within Christianity that are irreconcilable with the Islamic worldview.

This is one of the best analyses of this problem that I have read to date. Until we are realistic about exactly what Islam is, and the fact that it is something for which our structures were not designed (and that our structures are BETTER than anything in Islam), we're not going to be able to fight it.

The mistaken belief that Islam is just another denomination of what one might describe as Christian-descended Western religiousity (that is, a concept that would even extend to deists such as Unitarians) is utterly mistaken and has led to our inability to deal with it or combat it effectively.

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued" 9:29

“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular Prayers and practise regular Charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful” 9:5

“Fighting is prescribed for you, and you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not” 2:216

Yes....the religion of peace.

Islam is a violent political ideology with its own set of laws(Sharia laws) of which religion is one component and is used to impose islam on non muslim societies.

Islam, like communism or fascism, is a political ideology. Only more dangerous, because of the “religious” veneer.

Great post.

IMHO, the probability our pols will do anything about the growing virus of Islam is close to zero. There are too many votes at stake.

Even if Congress passed a law of some sort, the first federal court to hear the case would toss it aside.

Abraham Lincoln and Justice Robert H. Jackson were wrong. When it comes to Islam, our Constitution is indeed a suicide pact.

Simply stated, islam is fundamentally incapatible with a society based on freedom and innovation. In short, islam does not fit in with the American constitutional republic, and it should not be allowed to take root here. Look at it this way: Would a person allow a cancer to take root in his or her body and let it grow, and think that that cancer, exposed to healthy tissues and organs, would become benign because of that exposure?

islam is the greatest evil the world has ever known. It makes communism, nazism, fascism, and every other toxic ism seem mild in comparison.

Today's Western elites who think that Islamic militants do not represent "true Islam" are dangerously wrong. From the very beginning of the Islamic faith, the good Muslim, following the example of Mohammed, has been called to do battle against unbelievers, reject secularism, and reject any notion of the equality of faiths.

This is a great article, probably as good a short summation of Islam and its history as anyone could put together. Our 'elites' and 'leaders' are either spectacular ignoramuses or willful PC suck-ups who are doing great harm to this nation by pretending Islam is something other than what it is.

And W set this in motion with his "Islam means peace" nonsense after 9/11. He had an golden opportunity to discuss the responsibilities of immigrants and citizens whose religions beliefs conflict with the US constitution and basic American values, but he chose an easy and dangerous PC path that the nation's 'leaders' are still on. W didn't invent PCness, but he sure gave it a tremendous boost.

Hasan is said to have shouted "God is Great" in Arabic as he gunned down his unarmed fellow troops.

The only criticism I could make of this great article. Hasan did not shout "God is Great". We know what he actually shouted. Why translate, or at least give the Arabic and the translation. I've never seen anyone who thought they should translate "Sieg Heil" or "Banzai" and leave off the original.
