It's like she is saying to millions of housewives that love her, its okay you can watch soap operas all day and read the enquirer and go to church and be president. That is all it takes.

That's a bizarre take on Palin, seeing how what she's known for is bringing up a family, including a special needs baby, while being governor of a state, who shoots weapons, runs, etc.

Of all the criticisms one might lob at Palin, sitting around and not doing anything sure isn't one of them.

I forgot to pre-order, but happened to be in the grocery last night and they had copies there, so I bought one along with the food.

They just got them, because I had been in there yesterday just to grab some milk and they weren't there then. There were only about 5 left, which isn't surprising since this is Burton/Pence/Buyer country.

I've only read the first two chapters, but she does a great job of explaining the Alaska scenery, history, and culture. It's not just a political book.

But frankly, my MAIN motivation in buying it was to give her some money and to allow her to sell more books than Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy combined. I want this book to make her independently wealthy and able to say whatever she likes and do whatever she likes. I want Piper to go to whatever school she wants. I want Trig to be cared for after she and Todd are gone.

And I want Chris Matthews and Andrew Sullivan reduced to gibbering idiots (they are pretty close already).
