Obama's Pet Goat Teachable Moment or Can I get a Shout-out to Dr. Joe Medicine Crow!

Those who hated former President Bush worked untiringly in the hours subsequent to the 9/11 attacks running down the man and his administration.

No example of this could be more clearer than the scoffing and ridicule that the president received for his none reaction on September 11, 2001 when the president sat in a scheduled event in a Florida class room reading to children and then suddenly it was whispered in his ear that a second plane commandeered by terrorist had hit the other New York tower.

Countless jokes and parodies have been made of the 2 to 7 minutes that the president remained with the children after being alerted of the attacks on Americans

But not so fast, not yet a year into his own presidency Barry Hussein Soetoro has his own “My little goat moment.”

"I WANNA GIVE A SHOUT OUT!!!!"

Who the **** addresses the Nation during a serious time of grieving and sadness with such a flippant attitude?

While Obama’s snubbing of those who lost their lives at Ft Hood was unconscionable, his treatment of Dr. Joe Medicine Crow was disrespectful at best. Medicine Crow as a Lakota elder should be treated with respect and not the but of some juvenile “shout out”. Wouldn't Obama use of “woo-hoo” in this context also be considered a racist slur against Native Americans?

That's because it didn't hit him in the gut. He didn't care. It was just another shooting to him. He thinks he can go there 6 days later and meet with the families and make everything OK. Too little, too late. Muslim backlash was his priority and everyone knows it.

He also does not realize to this moment that he awarded the War Chief with the Presidents Medal of Freedom and not the Medal of Honor. That is like getting J. F. Kerry confused with a real combat hero like (you fill in the blanks...)

Truth be told - Dr. Joe Medicine Crow had been given the Medal of Freedom - he had not been awarded the military Congressional Medal of Honor - as *shouted out* by Barry.

President Bush was reading a childrens’ book, to children - entitled; My Pet Goat.

Barry was behaving like a goat!

I’m sorry the woo-woo was mine. Sorry if I implied our erudite president would use such an expression.

Actually President Bush was listening to the children read from The Pet Goat, not reading to them.

If he had gotten up suddenly and frightened the children, they'd be attacking him for that. He probably knew it would be five minutes before the Secret Service would be ready to take him somewhere else, so it was better to keep calm for a few minutes in front of the children.

Kerry tried to make an issue of this in 2004. He claimed he would have handled it much better--in fact he was among the Congresscritters who fled in panic when they heard that the Capitol building might be a target.

"in fact he was among the Congress critters who fled in panic when they heard that the Capitol building might be a target. "

Just like the Swift Boat Vets said he did in 1969 in Vietnam during the incident which Kerry marketed as 'no man left behind' but they more accurately described as 'one man left'.
