GOP leaders have been loathe to criticize Rush Limbaugh -- but House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is taking issue with Limbaugh's claim that President Obama's push for health care was comparable to Hitler's stranglehold on Germany.
Cantor, the highest-ranking Jewish Republican elected official in the country, told Bloomberg News that his party needs to be more inclusive to regain power.
The Republican Party in its roots is a party of inclusion and we ought to be promoting that and making sure that voices are heard, Cantor, of Virginia, said in an interview on Bloomberg Televisions Political Capital with Al Hunt, airing today.
Cantor praised Limbaugh as a voice of the conservative movement. But Cantor objected when asked about Limbaughs comments that Adolf Hitler like Barack Obama, also ruled by dictate" -- and about Rush's comparison of the Obama administrations health-care logo to a swastika.
Do I condone the mention of Hitler in any discussion about politics? Cantor said. No, I dont, because obviously that is something that conjures up images that frankly are not, I think, very helpful.
A Cantor spokesman also said that signs at Thursday's Hill Tea Party showing murdered Jews at Dachau were "inappropriate."
“That’s got to be the stupidest thing I have read today.”
Back at you.
Rush is right.
What the heck has Cantor done lately exept try to out politically correct Obama’s Mao loving Czars? He’s beeng there too long. He has to go.
"Jughead" more your style, eh?
Talk about a liberal comic-book storyline ... And you want to call an actual CONSERVATIVE congressman a Democrat?
Actually, I called him an idiot, and invited him to join the other Democrats who, quite rightly, take it personally when they are accurately compared to Nazis.
Did you really expect rational thought on this thread? :(
Have you kept track of the times the left has referred to us as Nazis? No? I didn’t think so. How about Senator Durbin on the floor of the Senate comparing our troops in Iraq to Nazis or Pol Pot’s minions, or minders of the Gulags? How about Pelosi’s use of the term in reference to the right? Do you think it less objectionable when the leftist freaks use it, or is it just when someone on the right uses it in the proper context? Hitler was a man of the left, i.e., National Socialist-any comparison of Hitler to our contemporary ‘rat party(or, vice versa)is accurate as far as I am concerned and apology is not needed. Today’s ‘rats are indeed a bunch of Hitlerite wannabes-Nazi, Nazi, Nazi.....
“Have you kept track of the times the left has referred to us as Nazis? No? I didnt think so”
Don’t ask me a question you intend to answer yourself. Thank you!
Got your panties in a wad?
“dont question Cantor. I do question the authenticity of the piece.”
If Cantor does dot attack the authenticity of the remarks: the remarks STAND!!
