Cantor criticizes Rush for Hitler-Obama comparison

GOP leaders have been loathe to criticize Rush Limbaugh -- but House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is taking issue with Limbaugh's claim that President Obama's push for health care was comparable to Hitler's stranglehold on Germany.

Cantor, the highest-ranking Jewish Republican elected official in the country, told Bloomberg News that his party needs to be more inclusive to regain power.

“The Republican Party in its roots is a party of inclusion and we ought to be promoting that and making sure that voices are heard,” Cantor, of Virginia, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing today.

Cantor praised Limbaugh as a voice of the conservative movement. But Cantor objected when asked about Limbaugh’s comments that Adolf Hitler “like Barack Obama, also ruled by dictate" -- and about Rush's comparison of the Obama administration’s health-care logo to a swastika.

“Do I condone the mention of Hitler in any discussion about politics?” Cantor said. “No, I don’t, because obviously that is something that conjures up images that frankly are not, I think, very helpful.”

A Cantor spokesman also said that signs at Thursday's Hill Tea Party showing murdered Jews at Dachau were "inappropriate."

Yup, I once had high hopes for my Congressman. Had. Now he's just another one of them.

HOW HARD IS TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT BEHIND AN ELECTION?

Whats wrong with you?

Your concept of election strategy is madness.

Wow, I thought your previous "arguments" were silly, but now that you've employed caps-lock, I don't see how I can possibly hope to argue with you. I am helpless against the sheer force of persuasion that those enlarged letters present.

I changed my mind - you're still dead wrong. By the way, did you catch my chess analogy a while back? How about the big picture/little picture analogy? No? Well, give me a few minutes and I'll try to come up with an easier analogy for you to understand, possibly one that involves crayons and Barney the Purple Dinosaur.

I can not help but note you take your name from a character in possibly the worst comic book ever written.

"Jughead" more your style, eh?

Talk about a liberal comic-book storyline ... And you want to call an actual CONSERVATIVE congressman a Democrat?

Actually, I called him an idiot, and invited him to join the other Democrats who, quite rightly, take it personally when they are accurately compared to Nazis.

Have you kept track of the times the left has referred to us as Nazis? No? I didn’t think so. How about Senator Durbin on the floor of the Senate comparing our troops in Iraq to Nazis or Pol Pot’s minions, or minders of the Gulags? How about Pelosi’s use of the term in reference to the right? Do you think it less objectionable when the leftist freaks use it, or is it just when someone on the right uses it in the proper context? Hitler was a man of the left, i.e., National Socialist-any comparison of Hitler to our contemporary ‘rat party(or, vice versa)is accurate as far as I am concerned and apology is not needed. Today’s ‘rats are indeed a bunch of Hitlerite wannabes-Nazi, Nazi, Nazi.....

Don’t ask me a question you intend to answer yourself. Thank you!

I think you could have been a little more civil in your post. The only thing I was saying is it is a real act of desperation to be calling people Nazis on either side.
I hate it when Pelosi and pack us derogatory words like that, and it doesn't do our cause much good when we do that either. Naturally, I would still encourage anyone given the opportunity to spit in their faces since that wouldn't be visable on a network picture.
