An Updated Fable for Our Times
Freedom's Cost ^ | 10/25/2009 | Chaim

Posted on 10/25/2009 8:09:48 AM PDT by chaimke

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

And so, the ant got together with all his other like-minded ant friends and put a plan in motion. They marched through the grasshopper neighborhoods and laid waste to all of them. Then, they overran the studios as CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN, destroying everthing and everyone in their way. And then they marched on Washington, to make sure this would never happen again. The End.

This fable is so painfully close to reality. We reward laziness, taxing hard work at ever higher levels... to the detriment of all!

Wrong, raptor29! The answer lies not in going to battle, the answer is merely to open the voter’s eyes before going to the ballots. It’s more humane, it’s cheaper, and more effective in the long run.

No chaimke, you are obviously very new to the scene and you remain naive. First of all, if you still trust the voting process in this country, you haven’t been paying attention at all. Between ACORN, illegals voting, felons voting, military not getting their votes counted, Black Panthers allowed at precints intimidating white people from voting, voting machines coming from Venezuela, after-the-fact vote stocking (Franken in Minnesota the most recent example), do I need to go on?

Wake up. Those of us who have been around have done things “the right way” for years, and we’re being played for fools. There are very few institutions in this country that remain uncorrupted. And therefore, we need to act. The Founders gave us the 2nd Amendment for this very reason, they knew that it would eventually come to this. You can feel free to hide under a table and let others do you job for you, but some of us are going to let it fly.

It's unfortunately too true that there are very few institutions in this country that remain uncorrupted. I do not in the least disagree! That situation came about because of laziness, complacency and the willingness to believe the lies. If we shake ourselves out of that complacency, if we wake from that comfortable lethargy that has overtaken this country's majority, if we retake all the lost posts and checkpoints, we'll need no bloodshed. The question, however, is whether the hard working citizens of this country, those who contribute to its greatness, care enough. I pray they do!

“If we shake ourselves out of that complacency.....”

You and I don’t need to, nor do most of the conservatives in this country. So you are asking the ever growing numbers of the other side to wake up, which isn’t going to happen. We’re past the tipping point on all this. And stop putting all of this on “the hard working citizens of this country”. We have done our part. You are asking us to work our asses off for decades, giving about 60% of our money to freeloading vermin, while the same vermin who does not work, actively undermines our institutions and country.

The bottom line is, a handful of retribution “acts”, while perhaps offending the sensibilities of some of our weaker citizenry, will be far more efficient and effective than attempting to reverse 40 years of dumbing down.

All too often, “liberals” and “progressives” are such only because the right has been too busy with other things while left education, historical truth, and reason to be betrayed by activist teachers and professors masquerading as educators!

It’s time to retake what’s lost, it’s time to expose the lies and to do it with the same zeal the opposition does its work of destruction.

I never thought I'd say this to a FReeper, but I'm looking forward to the day when you're in federal custody.

“....too busy with other things...”

Blame America first, blame conservatives first. Those “other things” you mention, like raising families and going to work 50 hours a week have historically taken most of people’s energy and focus. We are supposed to be able to trust our fellow citizens to do the same, and we are supposed to be able to trust our politicians to work honestly on our behalf while all of us do what we’re supposed to do. The vermin on the left has realized that there is room to take advantage of that situation, and they have for 40 years.

Tell you what. Pay attention for a while and then get back to me.

Without people like me, it will be you in federal ‘custody’ at a time closer than you think. Get lost, loser.

My only regret is that when they haul you in, it’s going to give FR a black eye. It’s a pity that the mods don’t let some of your more belligerent posts stand, so it could happen sooner.

No, it’s a pity you continue to soil this site with your milquetoast, cave-in, afraid-of-the-left’s-criticism posts that do nothing for our side. It is mush-heads like you that the other side laughs at, the kind they love to see, because they know they’ll continue moving the country in their direction as long as soft-headed pseudos like you have a place at our discussion table.

So go away, and share your ‘nuanced’ discussions with what is likely a group of homo friends that you don’t want to offend. And when they come for you, you’ll be calling out for people like me to save your ass.

Don’t kid yourself. Raptor’s only goal is to incite violence. He gives himself a chubby every time he thinks about shooting unarmed people. Given that the preponderance his posts are directed at Jews, blacks, Hispanics and women, I’m betting he’s a Stormfronter. His posting history is there for all to read, so see for yourself.

Also, it’s so telling that you would be calling for ‘the Moderators’. A typical liberal response, the very thing we are fighting against, and you are right there with the left. Your own personal Big Brother to take away people who say things you don’t agree with. You are a joke, a phony, not a conservative, a product of a liberal education, a person with too many lefty friends, and your posts illustrate all of this on a regular basis. But unlike you, I will not be calling for the “Moderators” or anyone else to silence you. I’ll just continue to hammer you every chance I get. You and every other mush-head nuanced relativist poster on here. Your mindset has ruined this country.

Melas is a soft-headed, nuanced, liberal fool, who gets uncomfortable when America’s harsh realities are presented. And I simply refuse to bow to political correctness on any issue and to anyone. Melas is incredibly uncomfortable going against political correctness, and that mindset needs to be jettisoned from our side.

Quite the contrary. I want the posts the mods remove to stand so you can draw the attention of law enforcement. The mods have been doing you a favor, but you’re too stupid realize it. The best thing that could happen to you would be to have to explain yourself in handcuffs to the FBI agent across the table before you actually hurt someone, which I’m guessing will be a soccer-mom, as that would be a relatively safe (for you) target to explore your little fantasies.
