I just saw Saw VI, and I think it was written by the DNC

Who would've thought the horror movie series I love would go political on me.

I'm not going to spoil the movie, so I'll just tell you the political message of it.

So the movie opens up and we see 2 people who are in cells and they're across from 1 another, Jigsaw comes on and he starts his speech, he says that they're PREDATORY LENDORS who take advantage of people who would never be able to pay back their loans. I turn my head to the right and whisper to hubby "did he just say predatory lenders" hubby smirks and says "yes they did", at this point I'm thinking OK, I'm going to be prepared and jot down a note to myself about the scene, I don't have paper so I see the box of Whoppers that I got for $1 at the concession stand with a coupon they gave me, so I dump the Whoppers out and jot down info.

So we go to scene 2 now, it's set at an Insurance Company and you hear them talking about PRE-EXISTING conditions, I look at hubby and say "pre-existing conditions"? he says yes and he says write that down (LOL, he's not political at all). Then we hear someone talking about pre-existing conditions and people being denied insurance. Next thing you know we see a patient talking to, I guess a Supervisor, and he wants to know why his insurance was cancelled, they said it was cancelled because 20 years ago he had surgery on a benign tumor on his jaw, the scar tissue from that caused gum disease, and the gum disease caused his heart disease. They said the tumor should've been disclosed. The man denied his insurance.

Just a reminder, this is supposed to be a horror movie, and since I've seen the previous 5 I assumed it wouldn't be political.

Then for a few minutes we see the investigation into the 1 scene.

Then we get to the maze of killing scenes. So who is the guy who has to get through each part of the maze alive to eventually be free? the Insurance Company guy who denied the sick mans insurance. All the people in the maze either work with the guy or who have some other knowledge about him.

The 1st part of the maze I can't give away, but it was politically correct.

We get to the 2nd part of the maze and the insurance guy has to choose between 2 employees, 1 is a single man with no family and the 2nd is a middle aged woman who has a husband and family but has a history of diabetes in the family. He has to choose which 1 to save.

We have another scene that I didn't see as politically correct.

Then another, the same thing, didn't see the political correctness.

At some point we see Jigsaw and he tells him why he's doing this. Jigsaw says this, that it's not the Doctor's making life or death choices, it's not the Government making life or death choices, it's the INSURANCE COMPANY making life or death choices! I would get pretty ticked off if I worked in the insurance industry and saw this movie, they were making them the villains. And yes, I flashed back to a month ago when Obama was making them into villains.

I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the message of this movie. IMO it was meant to anger the average person who doesn't pay attention to politics and who blames the rich guy and corporations for all their problems.

The movie itself as far as the methods of taking care of people via archaic machinery, I'd give it 4 stars.

But the shoving down my throat of an agenda by Hollywood and unfairly putting out a message to those who have no idea what's going on? I give it 0 stars!

Darn movie ticked me off like you wouldn't believe. If I know a movie is going to preach to me beforehand then I make a decision to see it or not, but to come out of the blue like this with a political message is just wrong.

The saw series is more of a joke than Friday the 13th. Somehow the villain died in the 3rd movie, but has laid out some elaborate scheme, more complex than the physics of worm holes, which keeps allowing all these “mouse trap” murders.

I’ve never been a fan of slasher flicks either. Give me a good sci fi flick and I’m happy.

Well its NBC so it wasn’t a huge shock but yeah. If you watch the show, Bo asked Lexie at the hospital if she was gonna volunteer for blood drive or some BS volunteer program, they talked about volunteering for about 5 minutes I was like COME ON this is getting ridiculous. Thankfully All My Children did not get involved in that nonsense(I watch that show too)

Remember the Family Guy Episode with the Uniformed Nazi in Warsaw wearing the McCain / Palin Campaign Button?

That was a real knee slapper.

What was it that P.J. O’Rourke said, something like “but people don’t fantasize about being molested by someone dressed up as a liberal.” ?

Sad to say, but Avatar has its political message, too. An old one, but it does... white man has depleted the Earth, so now they've moved onto alien worlds to rape and pillage their resources.

So its a movie about progress. LOL

Liberal messages are a long time staple of sci fi. They were pretty common even in the original Star Trek series. What I'd like to see is Burroughs Mars and Venus series made into movies without any political inclusions that don't exist in the books.

I didn’t realize there was a Saw II, III, IV or V.Pretty successful franchise even though the main character died in the 3rd or 4th sequel.

Does kind of make one wonder why explicit violence is okay, but explicit sex is not...anyone seen my hacksaw?

...they're PREDATORY LENDORS who take advantage of people who would never be able to pay back their loans...so that's what a predatory lender is - somebody so mean that he gives out loans to people who can't repay them - I'm more concerned about fraudulent borrowers - people who accept loans they know they can't repay.....

“I saw the first one and couldn’t imagine why anyone would want to watch such a bloody hack-fest.”

You’ve got that right, the Saw series is pure psycho-sadistic trash. I made it about a quarter through the first and have totally shunned the rest. When the bogeyman is in the closet, keep him there.

I like the SAW series, too. I haven’t seen the latest. I just recently saw SAW V. Maybe the new Jigsaw will go after politicians in SAW VII.
