The following appeared as an op-ed in Kuwaits Arab Times. Ive oft quoted its Editor -in-Chief Ahmed al-Jarallah,. Hes no Zionist stooge, gentle reader, and while I oft times disagree with his views I find them fair coming from an Arab editor, in an Arab land.
Does Iran want the Palestinian peace process to pass through nuclear reactions? Whenever Egypt expresses its frustration over Hamas activities, demanding that they should deal with it as the largest Arab nation, not as a Palestinian but a Palestinian faction, it shows its despondency.The so-called resistant group has remained adamant for quite a long time to thwart the Palestinian peace process, since the time Egypt signed the Camp David Accord in 1982. This group has continued to destroy and delay the peace process until it became unrealistic after two decades.
Can there ever be peace between Israel and the Palestinians, between the West and Islam? There is a chance, but only after the West regains its moral and intellectual integrity, realizing that oil is not worth the prize of its principles. Peace will be only possible when the cowering West understands that as much as we need oil, the oil producers need us more.

I see the Arab press is still full of errors. The Camp David Treaty was signed in March 1979, not 1982. 1982 is when Israel finished pulling out of the Sinai.
