Well known climate change expert Lord Christopher Monckton has read the treaty to be signed at Copenhagen. He deduces that it will result in a one world communist government.
He notes that if Obama signs the treaty our Constitution has to follow it.
There would be a shift of wealth from the west to the east and America would bankroll the whole thing.
Here is a clip from his speech given on Oct. 14th 2009

Excerpt:
At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it.
Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think theyre going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody wont sign it.
And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created.
The word government actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity.
The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, climate debt because weve been burning CO2 and they havent. Weve been screwing up the climate and they havent.
And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement..
How many of you think that the word election or democracy or vote or ballot occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right, it doesnt appear once. So, at last, the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement, who took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year, because [the communists] captured it Now the apotheosis as at hand.
They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. Hes going to sign it.
[snip]
In the next few weeks, unless you stop it, your president will sign your freedom, your democracy, and your humanity away forever.
And neither you nor any subsequent government you may elect will have any power whatsoever to take it back. That is how serious it is.

I saw him speak a few weeks ago. Dynamite.
Everyone should search him up and check him out when they have time.
Quite cheecky.
Obama can sign it, but the Senate has to ratify it with a two-thirds vote, IIRC. When the costs and limitations on our freedoms are presented during debate, I don’t see that happening. Obama will no doubt try to implement it in the meantime with executive orders that can be rescinded when a non-Marxist president takes the helm.

Thanks for the excerpt, LucyT.
The one thing he does not seem to understand is that the US is not bound unless the Senate ratifies a treaty by a two-thirds vote. Are their 34 or 40 GOP Senators who would vote no? Are their any Dems who would vote no?
I suspect there are 34 no votes in the Senate including some Dem no votes. I would suggest of my Senators Sessions is a pretty sure no vote and Shelby a very likely no vote. Any on else care to guess about theirs?
Anyone got the text from the treaty? How did Monckton get to see it?

You’re welcome, Story Balloon.
I'm so tired of idiots like the author of this article spreading misinformation. A treaty must not only be signed by the President but also ratified by the Senate by a 2/3'rds majority.
Thanks, PapaBear3625. Sounds like great reading.

You can google it.
It is in draft form here: http://assets.panda.org/downloads/final_treaty_legal_text_with_cover.pdf
