Multiculturalism, as a concept, may seem fair until you examine its ramifications until you look at its realities. For multiculturalism to work, all sides must be willing to work together and whatever community its tenets must insist that the local laws be followed by one and all, without exception!
Muslims in the UK, want public monies but reject any strings attached:
Muslim groups say that they want money from the Government but dont like the strings attached which ask them to help root out extremism. The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) says that the grants which require them to stand against violent hard-liners are intrusive.
[...]Khalida Khan, Director of the An-Nisa Society, would welcome money but said: Theres a lot of strings attached the government stance is just terrorism driven.
Obviously, they would rather keep those terror links, while infidels pay for them...

I’m not a fan of multiculturalism and I don’t see how it can ever lead to unity. How can we unite as a nation when we cling to separate “cultures”? Children learn that the strength of the United States is its diversity - No, it’s not. It’s our belief that all persons are equal under the law, and it’s our recognition of freedom as a basic human right and an ideal worth fighting for. Recognize your roots but be an American!!
(and that’s my soapbox stand for the morning. :))
They don’t want to recognize existing traditions, they just want to instill their own.
If you flee from an oppresive country, don’t expect your new country to provide for your traditions. You should be willing to change a little for the price of freedom, and not take exception to things like Christmas decorations by calling them “offensive”.
When is enough enough? For the multiculti-diversistas, it’s never enough.
English born American labour leader and first President of the American Federation of Labor, Sameul Gompers, being asked if his union wanted more: We do want more, and when it becomes more, we shall still want more. And we shall never cease to demand more until we have received the results of our labor.
Why are you quoting a greedy union baron? That’s not got anything to do with multiculturalists.
Besides, these people don’t want “the results of their labor”. They want the results of YOUR labor! :)
