Do not think they were divorced in Mass (and definitely not in 1965). I think that may refer to when they departed US for Kenya. This source is a bit sloppy.
Ruth said she was married about 7 yrs — which if they were married in 1964, would be about 1971. Did the divorce occur in Kenya or US? do not know.
I have not checked Ruth’s whereabouts that year (1971), but BHO did come to USA, apparently near the end of that year — his only visit with BHO in the US.
they should have contacted Jr about the estate...so perhaps Jr did not have the necessary documents..or did not want to provide them...or they didn’t know how to find Jr.
