Obama's wrecking crew (Powerful Reading)
Power Line ^ | 9-30-2009 | Scott Johnson

Posted on 10/01/2009 6:45:12 AM PDT by no-llmd

Many who backed Obama at the time of the financial crisis last Fall, are now, in private, expressing grave misgivings. (snip) I'm told that Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and chief economic adviser Lawrence Summers have both complained to senior Wall Street execs that they have almost no say in major policy decisions. Obama economic counselor Paul Volcker, the former Fed chairman, is barely consulted at all on just about anything -- not even issues involving the banking system, of which he is among the world's leading authorities.(snip)(obama)is acting as if he has a blank check to do what he wants, while ignoring the longterm costs of his policies. (snip) "The economic guys say that when they explain the costs of programs, the policy guys simply thank them for their time and then ignore what they say."

He’ll have a blank check until prominent people speak up for America rather than stay silent for their jobs.

Until integrity kicks in, we are all doomed.

Their choice.

Everyday Americans took to the streets and have spoken, it’s up to the big shots to speak out.

Here's Obama, planning his agenda for the day (Say this line in your best "Goofy" imitation voice)

"Ga-hyuck, where'm I gonna fly and have lunch ta-day? ga-hyuck."

People like Volcker and Summers distancing themselves from this administration would help, but the key will be how many Senators and Representatives will turn their backs on Obama. Scary tines folks.

Yep - I pray that people in high places also care for this nation and that they will begin to surface and stand against what is going on. The sooner they do this, the better for all of us. And if they do not, the harder it will be to correct course.

And remember, like all narcissistic authoritarians, Obama is all about Obama. Remember that he only helps people if it helps him. Everyone around him, true believers included, is being played like useful idiots, ready to be tossed aside when they’re no longer needed.

The Social Democrat Senators, and there are 60 of them, think of themselves as a Politburo. They will not come to oppose their Leader.

Time for some of these people start to man up & go public to save this country instead of complaining behind the scenes & wringing their hands to save their jobs!! !

Obama, his czars & his Chicago mob are running the show right now

In the depths of the financial crisis last year, people like Morgan Stanley's John Mack, BlackRock's Larry Fink, Greg Fleming (then of Merrill Lynch), JP Morgan's Jamie Dimon and Goldman Sachs' Lloyd Blankfein were telling everyone that candidate Barack Obama was a "moderate," and moderation was what this country needed.

Which tells us how truly intelligent and capable these high flying Wall Street executives are, or aren't, no doubt mostly with their Ivy League degrees and impeccable pedigrees. Our "elites" are mostly a bunch of out-of-touch, self-important posers, feathering their own nests, who understand little.

The best thing that could happen would be for the primary influence and power in this country to shift away from these self-anointed elites of the east and west coasts, and to people from a broader cross-section of the US

Anyone who couldn't see through Obama's act should question their ability to understand anything at all.

I have been reading FR from the beginning but I have only recently started to post. I can no longer remain silent. I have campaigned for my congressman and senators, I have written letters and placed calls to the White House and congress and have been to Tea Party events. I don’t believe I am doing enough to combat Barry Buffoon. I believe in term limits, recall and referendum. I don’t know what else to do! Help me FReepers..

“The Social Democrat Senators, and there are 60 of them, think of themselves as a Politburo. They will not come to oppose their Leader.”

They won’t oppose their Leader because they agree 100% with their Leader. This is all about taking America down. I am surprised to find out that Geitner and Summers aren’t part of the cabal, so maybe there is hope yet for them to show they may be pointy-headed Liberals, but they do love their country and will actually try to save it. Not holding my breath.....

"Everyday Americans took to the streets and have spoken, it’s up to the big shots to speak out."

An unfortunate by-product of our society's worship of celebrity, wealth and fame has been the creation of a nobility without a sense of noblesse oblige.

All the big names like Volcker and Buffet were just window dressing for a Marxist house. Obama needed big names to assuage the worries of many moderate Dems that he was er ahem a Marxist. Which is what he is.
