Oh, I’m sorry, Einstein. I guess I was speaking in Latin from which the phrase comes-—”qui tacet consentit”, literally translated “Silence gives consent. My bad.

Tacet of course is the verb form of the same Latin root word, which is used in music and means ‘to be silent’. Oh, the contradiction in meaning is so obvious, I don’t know how anyone could have been so stupid as to have so foolishly missed using the adjective form, tacit.

I guess it’s just the lack of sleep because of my hysteria over the Obama administration has me gob-smacked.
