The weather so far this week has been relatively pleasant for most of us along and east of the Rockies and it looks like a terrific weekend is setting up, too, for some. The next in a series of Fall storm systems will be moving out of the Plains and into the center of the nation tonight through Thursday. This will aid in firing some storms, some strong to severe

Frost warning in western Maryland tomorrow a.m. Must be global warming.
Hunkering down in Wichita. Have my radars up. Probably late night/early morning though.

I just got off the phone with a colleague in central Colorado. He just installed plow blades on his tractor in preparation for the coming week.
Frost warning for AM frost in southern Michigan as well.
One forecast predicts the coldest winter in more than a decade for the northeast. We’ll see.
One week of fall this year??
My daughter is in Laramie, said it will be snowing there any minute now.
Welcome her to the dance... two inches overnight (now melted). Mountains snow covered at lower elevation, can't see above that.
Yeah, she’s quite disappointed, as she was going horseback riding this afternoon, but they decided not to, due to the snow coming.
Depending upon the area, I'd still go. Winter riding can be very enjoyable.
