n VA, Republicans Still Above 50% in All 3 Statewide November Contests: Virginia Republicans continue to dominate the statewide contests for Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General in elections today, 09/29/09, five weeks until votes are counted, according to SurveyUSA polling for WDBJ-TV Roanoke and WJLA-TV Washington DC.
In the race for Governor, Republican Bob McDonnell today defeats Democrat Creigh Deeds by 14 points, 55% to 41%. Compared to identical SurveyUSA polls released four and nine weeks ago, little has changed. McDonnell receives majorities from both men and women, young and old, rich and poor, college graduates and those who did not attend college. Deeds leads by 3:1 among African Americans, by 7:1 among Democrats and liberals, and by 14 points among moderates. McDonnell and Deeds tie in Northeastern Virginia; McDonnell leads in the rest of the state.
Go Bob Go!!!
If this poll is accurate, then perhaps the Compost's propaganda campaign is ebbing in its effects.
Here's hoping that we can send Obambi a message.
I am a big fan of SurveyUSA..always got mad at them when they had McCain getting pounded..but they were right.
Survey USA’s and Mason Dixon’s State polling are extremely accurate. They were both right on the money in Va last year. Go Bob Go!!!
McDonnell’s most recent attack ad on Deeds is devastating and very effective in my biased opinion. Sometimes the liars can hide — not this year, it appears. And Deeds chickening out of appearing on FoxNews Sunday with Chris Wallace was very lame. As if Chris Wallace is a rabid partisan conservative!
McDonnell is attracting 24% of the Black vote, that is unprecedented. Go Bob Go!!!
Does Mr. Deeds have any connections with ACORN?

This American is looking forward to voting in November!!
The NJ and VA governor races this year will have a major impact on Obama's agenda in Congress, including ObamaCare. If Corzine and Deeds lose and lose big, it will send shockwaves through Congress. We need to get everybody out for these two elections. They are critical to stopping the Obama agenda.
Has anybody seen any recent polling for New Jersey?
Virginia is for McDonnell lovers.
This one?
I worry about the fraudulent voting in liberal infested Fairfax County.
I like that ad, but one of the endorsers is a real dog.
He’s a nice dog!
Corzine has closed the double digit gap a bit, but Christie looks like he’ll win. For me it’s a mixed deal. Christie is a RINO so he won’t be much different than Corzine on public policy. Spend, spend and spend.
The good news is that the dems have made this—and Virginia— a national referendum on Onada. So if Corzine loses it will be a negative for Onada and the Demrat Party.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the dems pull what they did with “The Torch” Torricelli. He was losing to a Pubbie so they illegally switched him out for Lautenberg. It was patently illegal (the filing deadline was well past), but the commie NJ SC said it was OK to do it.
GREAT!!...GO.BOB!!
