There's a new proposal for it to be a federal fine of $25,000 and a misdemeanor punishable for not more than one year for not buying health insurance.
This is one hell of a "Tax Hike" for the middle class, Isn't it?

Law mandated auto insurance and health insurance is two totally and completely different things.
One can be avoided by not purchasing an automobile, the other can only be avoided by stopping breathing.

I wonder about religious freedom for people who don’t believe in doctors? Do they still have to buy health insurance?
Owning an auto is a choice. This requirement applies whether you want it or not.
If you do not own a car or choose not to drive anywhere, you do not need to get auto insurance. If you choose to drive, you need the insurance for liability as to damages you might cause to others or their property. It is not even a close comparison. You can choose not to own or drive a car. You are not at risk of any fines or imprisonment for not having a car.
The arrogance of our elected crooks is beyond belief, their medical insurance, the best that the tax payers are screwed for, is paid by the tax payers, their concern about what is the final version shoved down the throat of the tax payers is less than zero, and to top it all they have decided to keep what they have, so F the tax payers.
Pelosi reminds me of that real-old chick on Dr. Who that had so many surgeries and facelifts that she finally had to resort being stretched out on a frame, face-only, supported by life tubes....
You WILL have health insurance. It is your RIGHT. You will exercise your right, or you will be made to suffer!
