Why am I 10000000000000000% sure - if the story is true at all - the smirk in question was accompanied with an under-the-breath mutter of something like “f**’in Nazi” that the woman overheard?

I had the same thought. This DUmmie's account seems more than a little self-serving. Besides, DUmmies are not the type to stop at a mere smirk when it comes to expressing their displeasure with an "evil" right winger. That would involve some self-restraint, a concept with which your average DUmmie is unfamiliar.
