If Bush is to Blame for 9/11, then Franklin D. Roosevelt & John F. Kennedy are to Blame for...

SOME OF THE CRAZIEST liberals are on the internet. On both Digg and Twitter, I had some Hypocrats (hypocritical Democrats) tell me that since 9/11 happened on George W. Bush's watch, it was his fault for not preventing it.

OK fine, let's use that logic. If George W. Bush is to blame for 9/11 because it happened on his watch, then the legendary Franklin Delano Roosevelt is to blame for Pearl Harbor because it happened on his.

And while we're at it, if Bush is to blame for Iraq and Afghanistan because he was the first to send troops there, then Mr. Camelot himself, John F. Kennedy, is to blame for Vietnam because he was the first to send troops there.

But, of course, liberals are never consistent and will never in a million years agree to anything that's remotely logical. In fact, they will willingly defy logic and reason in order to bash Bush while deifying their own guys.

FDR knew the Japanese would attack Pearl Harbor, that’s why he had the aircraft carriers from harms way.

911 was in the planning stages long before Bush, I would say 911 is Clinton’s fault.

FDR knew the Japanese would attack Pearl Harbor, that’s why he had the aircraft carriers from harms way.

Everyone other than a few crackpots like Billy Mitchell knew that battleships were what won naval battles. If FDR knew that Pearl Harbor was going to be attacked then the battleships would have been out and the carriers would have been at their docks.

Also, we would have been just as much at war if we had set up an ambush for the Japanese having the fleet ready. Imagine a hundred Japanese planes shot down over Oahu with a couple of ships moderately damaged rather than thousands dead and many ships sunk..

You must have missed the Battle of Midway.

I should have put "knew" in quotes. By WW II the battleship's time as the main fighting ship had passed, but it hadn't been proven in battle enough to get the point across. The president and navy brass would have saved them rather than the carriers, but they weren't given the choice.
