The Republican turned Democrat, Senator Arlen Specter expressed a little frustration at how his former party is treating Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC), following his now famous “You lie” outburst during President Obama’s address last week.
While the House resolution was being discussed on the House floor Specter brought up Wilson’s reception by some Republicans, as an example that anything can happen in politics.
“Who knows what November will bring,” Specter said at a fundraiser for his reelection campaign in Philadelphia, “I’m optimistic about success in the primary but I’m not taking it for granted. Who knows what November will bring with the resurgence of Republicans and what is going on. If this guy from South Carolina can be a hero, what’s happening in America? Is anybody secure?”

Wilson is a hero because he had the guts to speak the truth and was willing to take the heat for it. Maybe you should try it some time Spectre. And BTW, nobody is secure, especially you.

The fact that he still has no clue that he’s getting thrown out of office, is making this all the more sweeter! :)
This guy is beyond clueless. He has obviously spent way too much time in Washington.

Nobody in elected office in DC is secure Arlen, that is what is happening in America.
I’ve heard outrage is growing against the Washington Redskins. People are highly offended by the name. Please change the name to Maryland Redskins.

Yeah, I imagine all your partners in crime are asking the same question... and I suspect you already know the answer.
No person shall serve as a Representative in the House or a Senator in the Senate for more than 12 years in either. No person shall serve as either President or Vice President for more than 12 years in both positions. No person shall serve in any cabinet level position or directly answerable to the President or Vice President for a total of 12 years in all positions.
A simple constitutional amendment, greatly needed.

Hey Benedict, America is moving forward and leaving useless baggage like you behind. Pretty soon you will be nothing more then a dung** stain on the toilet paper that Congress has become.
