Kanye West: Boobus Maximus
Annuit Coeptis ^ | September 16, 2009 | James H. Shott

I do not suffer fools gladly. The name “Kanye West” has intruded on my consciousness twice in the last few years – two times too many – and both times it was associated with idiocy.

The last of those was when KW charged onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards and interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance remarks by yanking the microphone from her hand to complain to the world that someone he liked better hadn’t been selected.

Gross stupidity arouses curiosity, sometimes, and this was one of those times. I figured if this dope managed to do something stupid enough twice to get my attention, maybe I should at least know who he is. So I looked him up.

I hadn’t ever heard of him until he attacked Taylor Swift.

That’s why he did it. He’s getting lots of publicity now.

I am completely unmoved by the whole thing. I mean, what is the standard of decorum for an MTV music award show anyway? And given the invasion of “reality” (sic) programming, who’s to say that wasn’t scripted. I watched MTV for a couple of years at its inception. Then I grew up and stopped watching, and caring.

Kanye West has sure stepped in it this time. Finally for once, everyone is in agreement that he’s a douche. I’m frankly glad we’re all on the same page now. Hope it sticks.

If this joker were on a stage somewhere accepting some award (most likely for successful potty training) and somebody - anybody - jumped up, grabbed the mike, and starting spouting off that someone else should have gotten the award, would George W. Bush care about all the people who would die because of hurricane kanye?

The man is nothing more than a small-minded attention whore and people from the president on down are indulging him. Best to just ignore the jackass.

He’ll be a worse flash-in-the-pan than MC Hammer, professionally and financially. “Gold Digger” is the only thing he ever had going, and even that relied very heavily on sampling Ray Charles. That was a few years ago.

He’ll be out on his stupid *ss in a few, short years, with no money to go along with no talent and no brains, the veritable broke (bleep) that was bleeped out of his only hit single.

In response to his latest doltish episode, he told Jay Leno that the reason he was a jackass at the awards show was that he hadn’t fully gotten over his mother’s tragic death a while back.

Way to go Kayne. You sullied your mother's memory by acting like an idiot. Now everyone thinks she was an incompetent parent who wasn't able to raise a child with basic social skills.

Bet that'll help you get over losing her, huh?

LOL MC Hammer was here in Indiana this year at the state fair on the “free” stage.

I’m not sure if Kanye was a random event or a setup by the Baraqqis to distract us from the real problems.

I loved how Comedy Central played the Kanye West/Fishsticks episode TWICE, back-to-back last night.

>oh honey you gotta’ grow up!<

This is Kanye’s protest that country music is outstripping rap in popularity. He can’t stand that a wholesome video won.
