I thought you would want to hear a black man speak to you without a teleprompter. That was the mocking, attention-grabbing remark with which author Mason Weaver galvanised the massive crowd of tea party protesters fiscal conservatives concerned about Barack Obamas reckless public spending and health care nationalisation plans that marched through Washington DC at the weekend.
Before a single speech was delivered, this huge rally, estimated by ABC News at two million people, had already toppled an Obama totem: the claim that the attendance at his inauguration (for which estimates ranged from 800,000 to 1.4 million) was the largest event ever held in Washington. Now that is as much history as Obamas credibility.
The Leftist smear machine in the media had denounced the protesters as racists. This increasing playing of the race card is a symptom of desperation in the Obama camp. If a black mugger tries to steal a citizens wallet in a Washington street, is it racist to resist? Then why is it racist to protest when a socialist president, who happens to be black, robs the taxpayers of $0.75 trillion?
The media, of course, who are predominantly in bed with the White House, largely ignored this huge protest. That may have been unwise: videos of the event have gone viral on the Internet and the lack of coverage in the mainstream media can only drive more consumers away from them. But the real significance of this rally was not the numbers, the passion or the vast coalition of Americans it represented.
No. The most striking aspect of it was the tone of mockery, epitomised by Mason Weavers brilliant soundbite satirising Obamas dependence on a teleprompter. The prevailing tone of anti-Obama public expression is becoming more relaxed, because his absurd projects are now recognised as

Gerald Warner is spot on.

[If there is one phenomenon that should strike blind terror into White House spin doctors it is the sound of derisive laughter. No political career can survive that. The day may be coming when Obama will feel nostalgia for the days when an opponent shouted You lie! instead of Aw, stop it youre cracking me up!]
This is true. And it’s even more true for Mr Obama who is particularly sensitive to mockery. He flew off the handle during the campaign when wussername journalist mentioned his “big ears” and he totally acts like a child whenever unflattering pictures of him show up on the interwebz. Remember the incident with John Kerry in the bunny outfit? He posed for pictures at NASA and when they showed up on websites with silly captions he denounced them all and then went on a rambling tirade in which he blamed a NASA conspiracy to make him look bad. Of course, if he had just laughed off the pictures they would have been forgotten in a day or two, but the fact that he made a big deal about it gave it staying power and made him look like a jackass.
Politicians have to be more thick skinned than this - crying about it only guarantees that your opponents will just produce more mockery and laugh all the harder.
Joker Obama. Heh, heh, heh. Good one.
Perhaps Joe Wilson should have just laughed at him. Loudly.
“If there is one phenomenon that should strike blind terror
If there’s terror to be struck, it should best home with all to lose. This small time Chicago thug has been handed the football. What can it all mean, one may wounder.
Well its not all as simple as the moment, I dont think.

From the article: “To recall the atmosphere in Washington on Obamas inauguration day and contrast it with last weekend is to gain a sobering insight into how far a political reputation can plummet in just eight months.”
Could not happen to a better “empty suit” with a teleprompter. Now to keep up the pressure and prevent the Democrats from passing health care, cap and tax and all the other trash on the table. I also think that the elections in NY and VA a little later this year will be another wake up call that the peons are PO’ed.
“Joker Obama. Heh, heh, heh. Good one.”
There’s something to this; a useful tactic in weakening 0bama could be to make a complete mockery of him. He then gets off his “no-drama” shtick and starts yammering incoherently unless there’s a built-in TOTUS response. Imagine the GOPers at a State of the Union or another joint session yukking it up whenever 0bama comes up with what he thinks is some signature line. Perhaps less like British Parliament and more like Def Comedy Jam.
LOL. I missed Mason Weaver....who is he? I may just have to buy his book(s)!
Thanks for posting!
I know we had more there than the inauguration.
You sure hit it on the head. Good points.
Joker 0bama has to touch a lot of nerves.
from article
Obama set himself the task of turning America into a socialist state: he should have started with a less ambitious project, such as pushing water uphill or transmuting base metals into gold.
