Letter to Fox and Friends

Posted on 09/15/2009 7:31:30 AM PDT by Patrick Henry's Ghost

Fox and Friends, With reference to your 7:00 AM (central time) segment of “etiquette” in which you lumped Joe Wilson’s behavior which was motivated by patriotic zeal and principle and provoked by an obvious “falsehood” by Obama with the Kanye West’s rude and insensitive behavior and Serena Williams display of vulgar and hateful antics which were both prompted by nothing less then glaring selfishness was ludicrous and absurd. Surely you must realize considering “motive” is very important in accurately judging ones actions? I suppose the “million” plus ant-government-spending protesters of last Saturday would be considered without “etiquette” also? Question: Why was not the subject of "etiquette" brought up during George Bush's presidency when the Left in this country thought hate speech directed at Bush, Cheney, Palin etc. was acceptable?? Now is not the time for “etiquette”, but fierce, fire-in-the-gut, freedom loving patriotism!

Isn’t lying impolite?

Thank you. I wanted to scream at these people when they linked him in there.
I am sick of their balance when there is none so they must find someone.

According to Thomas Jefferson’s Manual of Parliamentary Practice, adopted by the House in 1837, Rep. Wilson would still be out of line, although not as ridiculous as either West or Williams.

That actually hurt to read.
I hope Fox posts it, as written.

Yes, I agree that Joe Wilson “would still be out of line”.... according to established rules of decorum.
If it were not for the fact that we are now again in a FIGHT WITH A MORE INSIDIOUS FOE FOR OUR CONTINUED EXISTENCE AS A “FREE REPUBLIC”, I would advocate strict decorum adherence among fellow
Americans on both sides of the aisle.
But “before” Jefferson wrote and pubulshed his Manual of Parliamentary Practice in 1801 he declared in 1775 “OUR CAUSE IS JUST: OUR UNION IS PERFECT… BEING WITH ONE MIND RESOLVED TO DIE FREEMEN, RATHER THAN TO LIVE SLAVES”: JEFFERSON AND DICKINSON’S 1775 DECLARATION…
As sure as our forefathers knowingly decided upon a course that would lead to their own destruction in order to leave to posterity a “free Republic” we too must fight to keep it!
Damn the decorum! We are in a fight for our very existence as a Free Republic!
“THOSE WHO WOULD COMPROMISE WITH TYRANNY, BECOME THE ARCHITECTS OF THEIR OWN SLAVERY”
