This was a good point. We can’t make the mistake of going to a third party. We must reform the Republican party - clean it out if we need to, and start over. But DON’T go Third Party. We have the Democrats where we want them. Dividing your voters in half ensures a loss. I think we’re positioned to fundamentally change the Republican party. What we have to work on is GETTING GOOD PEOPLE IN THE REP. PRIMARIES. This is the key to change.

Well I’m not for a Third Party, but I am a “vote the bums out” type of gal, and I don’t care if they’re Dems or Republicans. Most are worthy of losing office, IMO.

I hope so. A third party is a failed plan. We need to reclaim, restore the Republican Party. The time is ripe.

Rush is worried about another 3rd party. He saw what happenned before. Rush has always been on the money but he has not ever become as involved personally as Beck. I would never take Rush lightly and I agree we need to bring the Republican Party back to reality. But Beck is on fire and lighting it up like Rush never has. Beck is becoming an investigative reporter. The only one in the country and he is getting results. But ALWAYS listen to Rush’s advice.

[Despite all the excitement around Beck, and his call to fumigate Washington, Conservatism’s only viable medium for expression is in the Republican Party.]

I agree completely.

The fact of the matter is that the "movement" is not the product of any one person. Rush's point is that anyone that is made the TITULAR (I love that word) leader of the town halls, protests and general anger will only become a distraction to the POINT.

I think he's right. Credit to all the voices with microphones speaking for us all... but let's not get into any hero worship here. It will only distract.

Rush Limbaugh addresses, what he deems, a troubling theme emerging from the Tea Party movement.

I think imagine that Rush was addressing the Tea Party movement.

Beck is not the Tea Party movement. In fact I thought Beck's Tea Party show sucked.

Beck’s on an ego trip. Any person that equates the radical agenda of Obama Van Jones with that of the Republicans is a moron.

They aren’t two of the same as he always suggests. Not even close.

I agree with Rush. At this point, trying to throw together a third party will guarantee the “messiah” another term.

Rush is wrong. Both parties must go. Rush can join the blue dogs. RINOs dilute the brand image.

No.

Rush has been against third parties as long as I’ve listened to him. This isn’t a response to Glenn, it’s an established philosophy he’s espoused time and again. Whether people agree with it or not, it can’t be traced to recent events or commentators.

First of all I have not heard Beck call for a third party. He's always claimed that we need to do what is right for America.

I got the feeling that Rush was not really paying attention to what the Tea Party is all about. It's about restoring the Constitution as the preeminent document in our govt.

I was very disappointed with Rush. He claimed that the demonstration was not about republicans. That they were somehow exempt from having their feet held to the fire. What about Snowe, Graham, McCain, and all those that voted for Cap and Trade? Are we simply to forget about them?

What about all the pubs that voted to confirm Sotomayor?

Rush is making assumptions that don't exist regarding Beck. Maybe he should listen in for a change like he always says about his show.

BTW, anyone else tired of Rush playing all those clips about himself and constantly talking about who is talking about him? That's not the Rush I tune in for.

Why try to pit Rush against Glenn? Hmm?

Primaries!!!

If we can get every conservative pastor, priest & rabbi to preach that it is our God given privilege, responsibility and duty to be informed and elect good people, and that it is SINFUL to be ignorant and lazy, and to not shirk our duties, especially at the primaries, we can vote a bunch of the bad guys out before the general election! Then we could choose between good and better, instead of between lousy and rotten as we often get stuck with (sorry for the crummy grammar, can’t think of how to express that better).

What is the old saying about how much more a vote is worth in the primaries? Simply because so few bother to vote, the impact of each vote is multiplied. If conservatives got in there in huge numbers in the primaries we could make a powerful difference.

I honestly believe Glenn Beck is in physical danger.

He needs Blackwater protection 24/7

There is not going to be a 3rd party. But the Republicans are on notice....show your stripes right now.

Many of them changed their votes today. They’d better stand up and stand tall.

Get their heads out their arses and speak out against this tyrant and what he obviously stands for.

The White House isn’t going to be run like ACORN Central.

Not while I breathe.

I don’t give a damn what Rush says, I’m not voting for another GOP fake conservative for President.

If Palin does not get the GOP nomination in 2012, I’m voting 3rd party, or I’m staying home.

So what if the Republicans give us another McCain in 2012?

Anyone who says anything disparaging about Rush is succumbing to irrational fear.

Anyone who says anything disparaging about Glen Beck is succumbing to irrational fear.

Are some not listening? These two men are patriots, and day in amd day out are calling for Constitutional Conservative Capitalism.

Please let's keep our eyes on the enemy.

Every election cycle we hear this same BS. Every election cycle the ‘pubes put nutless, buttless, toothless “electables” on the ballot. Nope, not falling for this ever again. GOP can KMA. If conservatives can’t win this time, I’ll try again next time. All you “you’ll elect 0bama again,” can also KMA. Your boy McStain IS the fallacy of your argument.
