Pew Poll: 71% Of Americans Distrust News Organizations
Pew Research ^

Posted on 09/14/2009 2:19:05 PM PDT by MaxCUA

The public’s assessment of the accuracy of news stories is now at its lowest level in more than two decades of Pew Research surveys, and Americans’ views of media bias and independence now match previous lows.

Just 29% of Americans say that news organizations generally get the facts straight, while 71% say that news stories are often inaccurate. In the initial survey in this series about the news media’s performance in 1985, 55% said news stories were accurate while 34% said they were inaccurate. That percentage had fallen sharply by the late 1990s and has remained low over the last decade.

Picky, picky, just because all the msm (except FOX) totally ignored the ACORN videos “How to sneak children into the country to act as prostitutes,” it’s no reason to mistrust them.

Poll: News Media’s Credibility Plunges
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2339577/posts

FINALLY! The Rush Limbaugh Show | 9/14/09 Rush proposes next tea party events at National Media Outlets http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2339380/posts

The media is the enemy’s front line defense, until they are confronted and exposed nothing gets better! There is an ABC,NBC, CBS, CNN affiliate in every city. We could ALL attend these protests nationwide! At least they would get local coverage. They can ignore and lie about protests when held in one spot, but they can’t ignore us in every city at the same time.

The time is right...LET’S ROLL!

Only 71% distrust the news? Sheesh, I thought it would’ve been in the high 80s... There are some truly gullible people out there. No wonder con-artists make a good living.

When you say “con-artists” I take it you mean politicians?

After YOU understand this proves what you’ve been told for decades is unprovable, you’ll never believe another lie they tell.

Our state media outlets, CBSNBCABCCNNNYT, are worse than the old Pravda. It’s not just the lies they tell. It’s the bad lies. They can’t make a lie interesting. The state media has become a boring echo of 0’s teleprompter. Seriously, this cult of Obama thing is going to turn a generation of people off of news, and the only thing bouncing around in their heads will be porn and sitcoms.

Early this morning, just as a “refresher” I sent a lot of my contacts in Outlook Express a number of sites like Freerepublic, Drudge, Instapundit, Lucianne, Michell Malkin, Hot Air, American Thinker, Cold Fury, Iowahawk and a few others. I thought it a good cross section. If you have others at the top of your list, let’s hear about them.

I assume this was before they heard about ACORN’s support for child prostitution ... if they listen to the alternative media and heard about it at all.
