Rep. Joe Wilson Say He Will Not Apologize On The House Floor

Good for him, have Democrats ever apologized for anything?

Rep. Joe Wilson said Sunday that he will not apologize on the House floor for his outburst during President Obama's health care address, even though Democratic leaders have threatened to formally discipline him if he does not.

Wilson noted that he already apologized directly to the White House after shouting, "You lie," to the president during his Wednesday address to a joint session of Congress. The outburst triggered a political firestorm, but Wilson told "FOX News Sunday" that Democrats are just "playing politics" by trying to drag out the issue and force another apology.

"I've apologized one time. The apology was accepted by the president, the vice president. ... I am not apologizing again," he told "FOX News Sunday."

Wilson said he would "never do something like that again," but continued to defend himself.

gatewaypundit reports that the left is now going after Joe Wilson's website...

President Barak Hussein Obama is the one who turned a joint session of Congress into a partisan campaign event. And he lied there, too, as Rep. Wilson said. It is Obama who should apologize, to the Congress and the American people.

The Dems want the apology on film so they can use it in campaign ads against him.

Good for him. We tell our children that it it never wrong to speak the truth. I suppose our government has finally reached the stage where telling the truth is unseemly and requires an apology.

Joe...tell them that your apology to the House will come after the Democrats apologize for their collective rudeness to President Bush in 2005 and 2006 in similar venues. In those instances they were booing the truth; you were merely pointing out the turd in the punchbowl.

I am sitting here watching Ed Gillespie, former Chairman of the Republican National Committee, discuss the Joe Wilson affair on CNN. Gillespie is so typical of country club Republicans who simply cannot pick up the cudgels and smite the enemy. The argument is really very simple:

Democrats have substituted obsession for decorum with regard for truth.

Joe Wilson made an indecorous remark. Obama ally to the assembled joint House of the United States Congress and to the American people whom he was calculatedly addressing on television. Obama's remarks were premeditated and deliberate. Wilson's remark was spontaneous and completely unplanned. Obama was lying, Wilson was telling the truth.

Joe Wilson told the world that Obama has no clothes and Wilson was right. Obama is a liar. The media and the Democrats have stood reason and respect for truth on their head with a contrived indignation over a breach of manners. Which value should be elevated over the other in a decent society in which you want to live?

Why in the name of Ronald Reagan cannot at least one Republican spokesman besides Newt Gingrich make a decent argument?

Will he be able to speak on the House floor before he officially says he won’t apologize? Just wondering if he does get to speak that maybe he’ll ask for Harry Reid’s apology for calling Bush a liar? and maybe ask for Nancy Pelosi’s apology for calling the CIA liars?
