A recent report by the Sacramento based California Budget Project shows that two out of five working-age Californians are out of work. The jobless rate has not been this bad since 1977. California's unemployment rate is one of the worst in the country at 12 percent.
Yet, union membership has grown in California despite the recession. And it's no wonder when looking at the CBP study. On page three, for instance, we see a notation that reports that unionization in government jobs has grown substantially and is also at a much higher percentage of the total sector workforce in California than it is in the rest of the country.

The protests and non compliance of tax laws will continue until the broken system collapses.
They still don’t get it. You can unionize, but in the end they cost money. There is a lack of money in CA. The two don’t go together, except for a voting base (DEM).

California ranked sixth among all states in percentage of workers represented by unions in 2008, according to the Union Membership and Coverage Database, a compilation by scholars at Georgia State and Florida State universities. California ranks behind New York at 24.9% of workers, Hawaii at 24.3%, Alaska at 23.5%, Washington at 19.8% and Michigan at 18.8%, the database shows.
NO WONDER CA is broke.
More government workers = more Democrat voters

As California goes, the rest of us will soon follow. Pretty soon the only people in our country that have jobs will be the government non-working employees.
