Here is video of a total meltdown last night by Women's Tennis star Serena Williams at the U.S. Open after she was called for a "foot fall" during Match Point against Kim Clijsters.

Clijsters had match point against Williams and Williams was serving. The official called her for a "foot fall," giving Clijsters two match points. Williams walked over to the official and said something several times. The official then went to the other officials and you can then hear Williams disputing with them saying, "I didn't say I will kill you!" She was assessed a one point penalty, giving Clijsters the match. . . . (VIDEO)

Well yeah, calling them security is probably a stretch. They are just guys in yellow shirts. Their presence is more visible since the Nadal incident - somebody apparently told them they actually have to WATCH the audience.

Well, I watched the entire clip, twice, and never once heard Serena tell the official "I will kill you!".

While her behavior wasn't appropriate, it's not uncommon for athletes to "lose it" during or after an intense competition.

Mountain out of a molehill in my opinion.

This kind of intimidation goes over a lot better in professsional wrestling than it does in tennis.

INTIMIDATION? No, she should join the MACK DADDY in the White House, Obama is the one threatening intimidation.

She clearly wasn't insinuating that she would shove that ball down the judge's throat when she screamed that she was going to shove that ball down the judge's throat.

Obama also clearly wasn't calling the Harvard police stupid when he called them stupid.

Final result: The judge was CLEEAAARRLY a racist.

That was my point ie; use of the word smidge in that he would only question people’s integrity.

It really diminishes what Clijsters accomplished.

No it doesn't! :) She just came back a month ago after having a baby last year and she's in the US Open final as a wild card after not playing on the tour for 2 years. Nothing can diminish that, imo. Serena can melt down all over the place, and Kim has still done amazingly well since announcing her return last March.

Sounds like Ms. Williams is in the wrong sport. This kind of intimidation goes over a lot better in professsional wrestling than it does in tennis.

Move over, Awesome Kong...

Right, I did not hear her say “I’ll kill you,” but rather “I’m going to shove this ball down your throat” with a few f-bombs sprinkled in.

Since threatening to shove an effing tennis ball down someone’s throat is a molehill, I wonder if you would accept that the umpire should be allowed to wear a 45 caliber pistol and tell the bbbiiitttccchhh to go ahead and try it. Wouldn’t that just be a tit for tat?

Wow... hate that I missed that ending. I watched the first set, and Kim was clearly out-playing her.

Wanna bet that lineslady isn’t working at the Open next year??

You know, after watching the video again, I have to wonder if a clue to her behavior might be her muscular stature.

Do you suppose she suffered an episode of "Roid Rage"?

A foot fault is when you step into the court before hitting your serve. You can’t even touch the line. From the angle, it appears that Serena pivots her foot onto the line prior to hitting her serve. So the call was correct. I don’t know if it is rarely called because pros know better and never do it, or if line judges usually don’t watch it that closely. Probably more of the first.

The line judge never said Serena said that. That was something Serena just thought she said and denied. It is pretty clear that what Serena did say was obscene and threatening. Saying she is going to shove an f-ing ball down her throat crosses every line and she deserved the penalty and it isn't being blown out of proportion. Serena did gracely accept the decision though, but I have yet to see any apology to the judge, which is already long overdue.

I won't be holding my breath for Williams to apologize to the judges and spectators.

No rational human being should expect such arrogant trash to humble herself.

I will be shocked if she actually apologizes to anyone over this.

“The line judge never said Serena said that.”

Hoe do you know that? Source? I watched the video, and the line judge talked to the officials outside the earshot of everybody.

IMHO, they should’ve armed the Line Judge with a taser then charged a dollar more for popcorn during the final match point.

Does it even matter. What Serena is know to have said and the tone and finger pointing is the worst I have even seen at a tennis event. McEnroe most famous line is calling a judge the pits of the world. Threating to shove an f-ing ball down someone’s throat and getting in their face and finger pointing is insanely over any line of decency.
