Here is video of a total meltdown last night by Women's Tennis star Serena Williams at the U.S. Open after she was called for a "foot fall" during Match Point against Kim Clijsters.
Clijsters had match point against Williams and Williams was serving. The official called her for a "foot fall," giving Clijsters two match points. Williams walked over to the official and said something several times. The official then went to the other officials and you can then hear Williams disputing with them saying, "I didn't say I will kill you!" She was assessed a one point penalty, giving Clijsters the match. . . . (VIDEO)

Sounds like an Obama supporter...one of the “Untouchables.”
She acted very graciously towards her oponent.
It was a crappy time to call a foot fault, but she apparently did. Will be interesting if they have exactly what she said audible on tape. Regardless, it did look pretty threatening.
Sounds like Ms. Williams is in the wrong sport.
This kind of intimidation goes over a lot better in professsional wrestling than it does in tennis.
She was pointing her finger at her in a threatening way. I don't know what she said, but it wasn't pleasant
. She acted very graciously towards her oponent.
At least she accepted the decision without a fit. It was a bad way to end a match. It really diminishes what Clijsters accomplished.
There is no comparison... I don’t think John Mac or Jimmy Connors ever threatened to stick the racket where the sun don’t shine or kill someone... I really fear the future... sigh.
. . . as John McEnroe sets back and smiles. Indignation with a smidge of class verses none at all.
McEnroe was a jerk. She’s just that much worse.
“I’m going to take this f***ing ball and shove it down your f***ing throat!” - Class.
... with an obvious sense of entitlement.
It seemed very threatening, and CBS knows the language she used, which they had to bleep. IMO I thought the security guards should have come onto the court (there were at least 2 or 3 within earshot) - Serena lost it and was close enough to start bashing the little line judge with her racket if she chose to.
“I swear to God, I’m going to take this ball and shove it down your f***ing throat!” - http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/usopen09/news/story?id=4468762
You can take the girl out of Compton, but you can’t take the Compton out of the girl - it’s apparently just brewing beneath the surface.
Wait ..... soon we willhear that it was taken out of context.
It really diminishes what Clijsters accomplished.
Yes it does...and Serena’s little remark in an interview last week saying “maybe she could come bast faster if she had a baby” was quite nasty...she was Jealous of all the attention Kim and Melanie Oudin was getting....all the sportscasters would say about Serena is that she was in top form and they looked for her to win the open....including me but hey, Kim Clijsters has been palying some clean, error free power tennis...she didn’t deserve all this drama.
I thought the security guards should have come onto the court
did you see the security guards for this years open?....nevermind....they are there to keep crazy fans away from the players...not players from umps....they didn’t do a good job when the nutcase fruit ran out and kissed Nadal...that could have been a Monica Seles moment....thankfully he was just fruityand wanted a kiss...Nadal handled it well....classy guy.
It only diminishes Clijster’s accomplishment if we let it, which I refuse to do.
