Historical moments, frozen and encapsulated in each individual's memory, sometimes define whole generations. These moments spark familiar "where-were-you-when..." conversation starters that mysteriously have the power to weld otherwise quite disparate people into a cohesive voice.
My own generation had had three of them before we even reached adulthood. JFK, MLK and RFK. That trio of assassinations taught me and so many others the unforgettable lessons about the fragility of life and how easily the illusion of worldly security can be shattered in a single instant.
But nothing -- absolutely nothing -- had ever prepared me for the Richter-Scale-10 shift in my worldview that occurred in the months following September 11, 2001. While true heroes of vast variety were still shifting through rubble at Ground Zero, attempting to free those who remained trapped and trying to identify bodies for terrified loved ones, I went to my library and checked out a copy of the Koran and two non-apologetic biographies of Mohamed.
When people yell, "Allah is great," as they murder thousands of civilians, it would seem essential to any civilization, under such attack, to know why these enemies fervently believe that eternal paradise and 72 forever-nubile virgins will be their certain reward. No concept could possibly be more foreign to the modern Western mindset.
Reward for such obvious evil flies in the face of our Judeo/Christian morality. The now-constantly repeated mantra, "Islam is a religion of peace," rings hollow amidst the worldwide actions of Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood and all the other Islamist terror armies.
During the presidential campaign, when Charlie Gibson asked Sarah Palin (rather condescendingly, I thought) whether she believed we were fighting a holy war, he had the whole situation inside-out. It really doesn't matter one whit whether we Americans think of it as a holy war. What matters is that the Islamists do indeed believe -- fervently unto death -- that they are fighting a holy war.
Do our liberal media elites and even President Obama believe that merely because we've decided to stop calling it a war, it is no longer a war? That the Islamists have decided to stop fighting simply because we have signaled our intention to retreat?
Our media elites and our new President need to read the Koran and stop taking the word of CAIR.
Or, they could merely take a careful look at history's timeline after the emergence of Mohamed in the 7th Century. If they do, they'll see that Islam, the political ideology that masquerades as a religion, has been a marauding beastly force, which has waged war, and risen and fallen in power over the entire 14 Centuries of its existence. They might take note of the destructive nature of the beast, which only seems to patiently await its momentous opportunities for resurgence.
They might, at last, see the clearly defensive nature of the Crusades that sought to stop the same Islamic terror in the 11th Century. They might understand Thomas Jefferson's plight with the Muslim Barbary Pirates of his own Century. And they might be compelled to acknowledge the waiting, patient nature of Islam, as after the Ottomans were stopped and then dissipated by choosing the wrong side in WWI, Jihad may have seemed dormant, and even more dormant still as the Arab Muslims again picked the wrong side in WWII. But as soon as feckless Jimmy Carter ignored the true nature of Islamic fundamentalism in his rush to rid Iran of her Shah, worldwide Jihad resumed as though it had merely been out to lunch for a while.
At the very least, folks should by now understand the real problem at the heart of Israel's quest for peaceful coexistence with the Muslims. The problem is embedded in the very nature of Islam.
Muslims see peace differently than we do. When we stop all objections to the worldwide caliphate under their tyrannical control, then there will be peace.
Yes, it took me about a year after those planes hit at Ground Zero to get a grip on the different landscape beneath our American feet. But the scariest thing today, eight years removed, is that our national defense is in the hands of folks who don't seem to have even one iota of understanding of how or why it happened. What's even worse is that they seem not to care.
So, while most Americans remember and commemorate our dead and all of those who have fought and died since to keep the Islamic-terrorist beast at bay, our President and those who elected him will go their merry way and chant, "Islam is a religion of peace."
How disturbingly dimwitted.
Over the period from the time of Mohammed (he lived AD 570 - AD 632 or 633) through the eighth century, Muslim armies conquered not only the Arabian peninsula and to what we now refer as the Middle East (Palestine, Persia, Mesopotamia, Afghanistan and Armenia), but most of north Africa and much of southern and central Europe. Muslims controlled nearly all the Iberian peninsula (Spain and Portugal), much of Gaul (north to the Loire River), and significant portions of Italy, Greece. They had also made significant incursions into central Europe.
Read the Koran, and you will see that Mohammed ordered this. Read history, and you will see that Mohammed personally commanded the armies that began it.
The Crusaders’ flags bore the cross and recapture of the Holy Land was among their primary goals. However, what became known as the Crusades was also about repelling a foreign invader that had conquered vast territories well beyond its original sphere of influence and treated the peoples they conquered with extreme brutality.
The Muslim extremists of today trace their anger at the West to the Crusades not only because they restored Christianity to the areas that Muslim invaders had conquered, but because they evicted those Muslim invaders from those areas. Read their writings, and you will see them still use the names the Muslim conquerors gave to what the rest of the world now calls Spain and Portugal.
The enemy that did this to us still exists, and has not changed. It is still well funded. It still enjoys tremendous popular support in its corner of the world. Most importantly to us, it still seeks to kill us by the tens of thousands.
If there is one thing about this enemy that we need to understand, it is that. This enemy intends to kill us, and to do so in large numbers. It cannot be persuaded, and it will not be deterred.
I would like all to consider why we are ineffectual in combating our enemy is that the Dem’s decided they had more to gain by our country’s loss than in our country’s success. The Dems (the same ones that voted to go to war in Iraq) changed their minds when they saw Howard Dean’s poll numbers. That was roughly 3 months after the start of the war. It was at this time that the NYTIMES decided to surface Abu Ghrab photos. I know who my enemies are. My greatest enemy is Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and their happy meat puppet obumbles. Twice in my life I have watched the same party vote to put troops in harms way, only to cut and run on them while in battle and then blame their actions on others. They make me sick.

Obama was raised a Muslim, a fact that many Americans know, but don’t understand the relevance of. What’s more extraordinary, Obama has said on numerous occasions that he is proud of his Islamic heritage, and although he has stated that he is a practicing Christian, he believes that his ’background’ will help him relate to the Islamic world in a constructive way.
We must not let our guards down as far as Obama is concerned. We must recognize the unbelievable inherent threat of electing Muslim to the highest office in our country. And we must also understand that he may very well be the biggest wolf in sheep’s clothing that our country has ever endured.
Many Americans will argue, that even though he may be a Muslim, he is not a terrorist or an extremist. But the greatest threat to our country comes not from Islamic terrorists or ’extremists’, but from ordinary, everyday Muslims and Muslim supporters.
For terrorists and ’extremists’, jihad means acts of terrorism, war and violence. Yet there is a far greater war being fought; an everyday jihad, fought by everyday ’moderate’ Muslims, where the daily goal is simply to increase the power, authority and dominance of Islam. Whether it is writing a letter, instigating defamation litigation, or protesting schools that include ’The three little pigs’ in their curriculum, all jihad is the empowerment of Islam at the expense of America and her non-Muslim citizens.
There can be no shared ground with Islam. Muslims, by their very nature, are committed to transforming every area they live and work in into an Islam-dominated world. And freedom for Islam, is doom for anything and anyone else.
Muslims and Muslim enablers should not be allowed the privilege of entering politics in America because Muslims have a stronger loyalty and allegiance to foreign Islamic states and communities than they do to America and our democratic principles such as freedom, equality and justice for all.
Entrusting Muslim politicians with the future of America is simply an act of treason. The objective of Islam in America is to replace American democracy with total submission to Islam. This then, is a traitorous objective, an anti-American goal and a religious act which can only cause America harm.
Wherever Islam has gained political power, secular governments have always been under threat. Once Muslims are allowed to engage in politics, they will start demanding an increasing range of special Muslim-only services and privileges such as Muslim-only blood-transfusions, Muslim-only doctors, Halal meat in schools and special pro-Islamic education for our children.
Cultural and political jihad weakens the state and Islam’s constant calls for change in favour of Islamic norms are draining on financial, legal, judicial, educational and many other civil resources. Meanwhile, Islamizing influences, such as Islamic calls for prayer over loudspeakers, drive non-Muslims out and encourage more Muslims to settle.
In Europe, Islamization has resulted in segregated Muslim communities hostile to their host community and all non-Muslim influences. Not only does crime (on non-Muslims) increase, but so do racial tensions and the threat of terrorism and religious violence.
Finally, Muslims should never be allowed to engage in politics in America because of the Islamic concept of religious deception (avoiding telling the truth) and Taqqiya (outright lying). Both were practiced by the prophet Muhammad and are allowed in Islam so long as such deceptions and lies benefit the interest of Islam.
And Obama has been caught lying about his Muslim upbringing on numerous occasions. This is because he knows that a non-Christian could never be elected as president in America, so he, like Muhammad, has to cover his Islamic heritage with a thinly veiled lie that he is ’one of us.’ He, like Muhammad, has to enter our ranks, before he can tear us apart.
WAKE UP AND REALIZE what Islam is really about and who Obama REALLY IS AND WHAT HIS AGENDA IS
