Wow! Did you see Representative Joe Wilson grow a spine on TV Wednesday night? I hope you did because it didn't last. By morning he was calling the White House and apologizing to the president for calling the liar a liar.

Bad reprting. Wilson apologized for breaching House protocol by speaking out while the potus was speaking and making the comment personal- he did not apologize for the content of his comment.
Correct.Thanks for posting that.
They probably threatened his kids in a midnight phone call.
Someone posted some of the twitter chatter and there were death threats against him and his children within hours.
Sorry, but I don’t buy it. That’s more of Washington-speak that takes a licensed psychologist to ferret out “what’s really meant.”
He spoke up. He backed down. That’s what it looked like, and that’s how it’s being reported.
Deep cover meanings in mysterious phrases don’t count for a lot in my world.
He shouldn’t apologize for anything in this instance!
If you want to believe it “as it is being reported”, have another koolaid on me.
You may also want to believe as it is being reported that the general public is outraged and has sent $400,000 in 2 days to Wilson’s democrat opponent. (It is not being reported how much has been sent to Wilson).
If he “backed down”, the democrat piranhas would not be rallying for another attack on Rep Wilson. His defiance of the One is still infuriating them. His apology was worded in a very Palinesque way, imho. Technical and sincere for breach of protocol. But not apologizing for what really stung the dhimmis- calling attention to their lying potus.
They haven't changed the bill, there are death panels in it, illegals will be covered, and abortion will be funded.
What's so hard about Wilson saying, "I'm NOT sorry."?
But, he did, and that pretty well ruins it.
It sounds like you're saying that YOU have such a great supply that you are loaning out koolaid.
No thanks.
This is dumb. Apologizing for wrong place/time is nothing close to apologizing for the truth of the statement or retracting it.
I hate it when as soon as someone does something the least bit helpful and right, along come the whining nellies to criticize the person for not doing enough or not doing it such-and-such way.
Moreover, by apologizing for the protocol breach, Wilson completely took that aspect off the table. Now if they want to pursue him, it has to be on the merits of his charge. To which he is saying: bring it on.
Not only what you said, but there was a thread here on FR last night about how the Rats were scrambling to close the loophole in the healthcare bill that DID, in fact, provide coverage for illegal aliens.
IOW, they know Wilson was right and they know his apology for breaking protocol did nothing to lessen the sting of the truth of his criticism.
“Ruins” it?
Sounds like you’re saying you think it would have been better if Joe Wilson had said nothing at all in the first instance.
Sorry. I think that’s just dumb. Nothing has been “ruined.” Wilson’s remark, as well as his apology for breaking protocol, have both advanced the debate.
Bad Reporting? Not “reporting” a reader’s Opinion/Editorial piece. We publish Op/Ed’s from our readers. Anything labeled as opinion is just that and is not in any way construed to be “reporting”. Those articles would go in a “Your News”, “National News”, etc. Thanks
Right.
“You lie” means “I’m sorry.”
and
“I’m sorry” means “I’m not sorry.”
This kind of BS sends me looking for the airsick bag.
