Maybe the example being set by Sarah Palin -- in which she's firmly and without hesitation stood up to the Barack Obama propaganda machine time after time when it comes to death panels and ObamaCare -- is finally starting to catch the attention of male Republican legislators.
It certainly seemed to have worked with South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson. Last night -- in an unguarded moment that's no doubt going to be used by Democrats in an effort to distract attention from Mr. Obama's completely vacuous health care speech -- finally couldn't take the the President's use of the Big Lie anymore.
Upon being assured by Obama that illegal immigrants would not -- under any circumstance -- be able to avail themselves of health care services under the contemplated health reform plan (are we allowed to call it that now or is it still "health insurance reform"?), Wilson loudly shouted "You lie!"
And Sarah Palin, demonstrating once again who wears the pants (and the very nice women's business suits) in the Republican Party, struck back hard at critics of her assertion that ObamaCare would lead to government-run "death panels including at Barack Obama, who singled her out as a liar in one section of the speech.
Showing a good grasp of the tactical and the strategic, Palin took to the pages of the Wall Street Journal on September 8th day before the president's hoped-for "game changing" speech that was anything but) to take her critics, especially Mr. Obama, to school.
Sarah Palin, becoming ever more cagey and savvy, still has the advantage of being the attacker, and it continues to look like Barack Obama is on the defensive, striking out blindly and calling on various labor unions to do his fighting for him.

Fast-forward to about 45:50 to see it. And at 46:05, take careful note of who you see in the lower left corner of the frame.
Hint: he didn't vote "present" this time.
I saw that earlier today. Lots of hypocrisy on the part of the Dems today.
Now, if only we could talk her into throwing John McCain under the bus.
And then driving it over him a couple of times ;-) What is with the guy? He could have savaged Obama during the campaign and instead told us “We have nothing to fear from a President Obama.” Oh really?
Sarah has more intelligence and common sense in her little finger than all of the politicians in DC have in their whole bodies.
That is why the commie left is trying to destroy her.
They can try. I don’t think it’ll work.
Obama protected himself from the REAL town halls this fall. The ones (Congresscritters) he sent out to sell his program got a lot worse than this!
Wilson apologized for saying it during the address, but I’m pretty sure he’s not backing down on the assertion. Every word in that speech was a lie, including ‘and’ and ‘the.’
She won’t say anything bad about McCain, even though she probably wants to. It’s a weird loyalty thing, she feels obligated to him because he introduced her. Even though he treats her like total crap, she still talks nicely about him. She has more CLASS then McCain will EVER have. McCain could learn something from Sarah, about standing up for what is right and not backing down
I agree with everything you said, but if she found a way to toss him, diplomatically, she would become the defacto head of the Republican party.
bttt
"Certainly, Joe Wilsons gotten the message. And his short, terse reading from the Book of Sarah is resonating throughout the nation today."
Book of Sarah!!!!
True, but remember, the GOP elitists hate her. Judd Gregg yesterday during Obama’s infomercial, laughed when Obama called Sarah a liar, and that other idiot(I forgot his name) stood up and applauded. This is the GOP, I bet if she called McCain out, the GOP rats would come to his defense
What a shame that the old-boy network would close ranks to the point of giving up any chance at seizing the initiative and rolling up the Dems for a generation. That’s what Palin could bring about, if she were allowed to do so.
Gregg and the rest, though, can’t conceive of not being inside the halls of power, however corrupt and menial those halls currently are.
Joe Wilson was WRONG.Illegal aliens will not be covered under health care for deadbeats. There will be NO illegal aliens after bamby’s amnesty
True dat ;-) But maybe he’ll have ruined the economy so badly by then they won’t want to come here or stay here, after all (hahaha!)
*THAT* is the only possible "silver lining" in the cloud we are under today. Pretty pathetic, if ya ask me...
