Obama says he is going to save enough from one huge, inefficient, wasteful government program, Medicare, to pay for an even larger (eventually) also sure to be enefficient wasteful government program, Obamacare.

It's neat that Republican federal officials are growing spines... So many of them are so easy to cave, to Democrat Presidents and liberal leaders. It was refreshing how many Republicans in the U.S. Senate voted against Sotomayor. When Bader-Ginsburg was nominated (someone who's even worse than our new justice!), only THREE Senators voted against her confirmation. Then again, the Republicans were initially quite tough, when Slick Willie became President. It was later on that they caved and compromised. I hope that, insofar as the mid-term elections (and those this fall) history does, in fact, repeat itself. But then, I hope that the spirit of Ronald Reagan and Robert Taft takes over. Let's have a [conservative!!] Republican revival in 2009 and 2010, and get Obama out in 2012!!!
