How do liberals see black conservatives? Well...
Geeks On Caffeine - Cartoons done just RIGHT! ^ | 09-07-09 | Scott Maxim

Michael Steele, J. C. Watts, Jr., Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, and Herman Cain all have one thing in common: They've all been savaged by liberals at some point in their careers. Why is this? Perhaps if you had a "Liberal Virtual Reality Helmet" that gave you their perspective, you'd be able to see just how they perceive black conservatives... NOTE: The author of this comic requests that you please visit his web site and refrain from copying the cartoon within this thread. Thank you very much!

When he was a card carrying republican, he was savaged many times for being an “Uncle Tom.” When he endorsed Obama, he was “welcomed back to the fold.” This is a fact.

Colin Powell (other than skin color) has nothing in common with the others on the list.

I’m not sure that Condi Rice belongs on the list either. She has a great foreign policy record and she is definitely a solid Republican, but I’m not aware of anything that makes her a conservative.

Don’t know Herman Cain, but J.C. Watts might be the only one on that list that might actually be considered “conservative”.

Uh...isn’t that the point!?! Because he aligned himself with the Republicans and BECAUSE he’s black, he got railed by the left.

Enough of posts like this! Everyone already knows he’s a spineless sponge!! But everyone also knows that he was “Uncle Tom-ed” for being a Republican!

And criminy people...you’re missing the point of the cartoon in all of this nit picking!

I’m sorry I used him as an example for all of you Republican revisionists who are so blinded by your myopic view of Powell that you cannot look at the bigger picture illustrated by his treatment from the left and the bigger theme in this this cartoon!!!

Michael Steele and Colin Powell are certainly not conservative.

Although Powell did sound some conservative themes during his 1996 GOP convention speech:

I feel the same as others about Powell but I still enjoyed the cartoon for what it was.

"How do liberals see black conservatives? Well..."

I don't know how they see them but I do know they have to look up to do it.

How is it Dr. Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas didn't make the list?

Poor Colin Powell. Liberals see him as a slave on the Republican plantation. Conservatives see him as a slave on the Democrat plantation. I wonder if independents can see him at all?
