Not going to work. To most people this is obviously a case of “you’re just sorry you got caught” on the 0 part.

how great this nation is and how "cool" it is to study
I seriously doubt that. He's had many chances to play the Bill Cosby and rejected every one of them.

So he’s admitting that he’s using children for propaganda purposes.
Great. Typical dictator of a banana republic or African, Marxist-run nation.

how is this going to embarass the GOP...????
the fact that folks have made the almighty O back down now serveral times from his plans only shows what a paper tiger he is... he is so diluded into beliving his own hype he thinks anything he does will embarress the other side....
The reality is he is droping in the polls faster then a JDAM from an F/A-18

doesn’t matter what he says now, the issue’s always been a trifecta. one, the captive audience thing, two, the praise-dear-leader type study guide, three the content of the speech, which of course would be political..save the planet, be green, would’nt it be nice if we all had health care etc.

I don't care what he hopey, changy wants to do. The bottom line is he shouldn't be giving this speach to a captive underage audience. It smacks of 1984.

He can tone it down all he wants...we KNOW, based on the follow-up questions that he suddenly dropped, what his intent is and I’ll bet he still won’t be able to help himself from saying something about community or national “service”, global warming, etc.
To: Jabrown
I don’t care how toned down this little speech is...this is wrong on so many levels.

What does the GOP have to do with any of this? They do a good enough job of embarrassing themselves without Zero’s help.

It will be the president who will be embarrassed, as people ask why he’s wasting school time with a very pedestrian speech? Similar to what the networks have been asking about the last two or three primetime addresses.

“Obama hopes to embarrass GOP with toned-down “school” speech”
Again they go after the straw man of the “GOP” when it is NOT the “GOP” standing against them, it is the American people.

Who embarrassed who? Seems like his opponents have shamed him into backing off the propaganda. This administration seems to be totally oblivious to the ire they invoke when they do the name-calling and ridicule of Americans who don’t agree with what they are doing.
It’s not the speech stupid, it’s the big-brother “lesson plan”.
