Here is video of GOP Rep. Darrell Issa saying he has a Health Care bill that is one-page long and would mandate providing to Americans access to the same Health Care that members of Congress have. It would provide Americans access to over 300 Private Health Care Providers at affordable rates, without respect to pre-existing conditons.

The issue isn’t excellent and affordable healthcare, it’s all about government control. This brings home the point quite nicely.
Congress members are like Americans, but better.
Seriously though, anything that illustrates the hypocrisy of our elected ones gets a big thumbs up from me. They act as if they are a class apart, and above, the rest of us.
This story reminded me of some sexual harrassment law that was passed several years ago that specifically EXCLUDED the Congress (themselves), so that they were free to carry on their harrassing ways.
After the Coming Unrest, there will be a level playing field once again; and instead of politicians we will have statesmen; in place of Washington careerists we will have patriots. Not looking forward to the bloodshed, but am definitely amenible to my kids growing up with something better than what we have now. They deserve better; all our kids do.

If it is such a good idea, why didn’t Issa propose it when the Republicans had the House, the Senate and the White House?
Since the Dems control all 3 now, Issa’s proposal is a no-go.
He knows it.
The rest of the Republicans know it.
The Dems know it.
Access to it is certainly not meaning being able to afford the same healthcare , that we pay for, for them...

Because it was, and is, unaffordable. Also, there wasn't a move afoot to FORCE everyone (aside from Congress, of course) into a mandatory, heavily government-involved plan. That makes unequal treatment of the masses versus government employees (and apparently, unions) much more discriminatory and inflammatory.

Issa is more conservative than those who bash him.

it is easy to speak up knowing you don’t have any chance of doing the work to carry something through. Our little “r” repblicnas have done that forever. Lazy and spineless.

Issa has done some really nasty things to those who are not sympathetic to his Arabic roots. California has had continuing problems with this guy. Don’t be fooled

Your view doesn’t match the majority of conservatives in his dist. and those in general in San Diego
Commoners with the same health care plan as the rulers....who would thought that possible?
