Here is video of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy's name being booed when it was invoked by Illinois Democrat Rep. Jan Schakowsky's Town Hall Meeting yesterday as a reason to pass ObamaCare.
I think this shows that if the Democrats hope to turn ObamaCare into "KennedyCare" and get it passed, it's not going to work. Ted Kennedy was simply not a beloved figure for most of the American people. Invoking his name will not win over conservatives and most independents. She seems like one of those politicians that is so absolutely clueless as to how the world works and how this country was founded. I have no doubt in her heart of hearts that she believes she’s doing good. Unfortunately the radical communists behind this whole charade of “health care” want it as nothing more than a gateway to absolute individual control.
There are undoubtedly many Democrats that fit that bill. Then of course you have the rabid communists and the self-described “Progressive Caucus” that knows exactly what this about and are dangerous beyond words.
I love the folks on our side. Some of these town halls have been a hoot with great humor by the good guys and gals.
Also love it when some Vet gets up there are starts telling the Congressperson about their Constitutional oath.

That was a truly pathetic appeal by Schakowsky. She didn’t make any argument at all as to why the government takeover would solve the problems she recites. She just said, basically, imagine a world in which everybody has all the health care they want. Wouldn’t we all like a world in which we all have everything they want? That doesn’t meant it’s possible. These people have no plan to create more health care. They are just going to take the existing resources and rearrange them in a way that suits them, regardless of what the individual wants. They are threat to all of us.
Our problem is Senator Grassley is trying to rescue the Democrats and salvage health care reform.

I've heard clips of her on Mark Levin's show where she states her hope for establishing a single-payer system and that Obama Care is the first step in that direction.
Remember Mary Jo Kopechne.
