Americans in force are mowing this season--cutting grass like crazy, some daily and some weekly. And once in a while, someone will get cited by their municipality because they have refused to harvest their crop. Regardless of the size of the yard, cutting grass is a task that falls to everyone that has more than a few blades of San Augustine, Bermuda, or countless other grasses and weeds. A fear by many is suffering injury by a variety of means including accidents, ignorance, and natural means.
According to the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS), a lawn mower definitely has the potential to become an extremely dangerous instrument when it's used carelessly or without the proper safety precautions. Lawn mower injuries can be devastating to the patients and their families, so it's important to never take lawn mower safety for granted.

Jeez, he hasn’t been to South Texas - I just cut my lawn for the first time in a month, it’s been so hot and dry.
Colonel, USAFR
If the govt want’s to protect me from my lawnmower, then I will put the census goon to work cutting my yard. Get to work and keep me safe. It’ll be the first honest work they have ever done.

My daddy told me that when I was 10 years old and he only had a fifth grade education.
I do think there is a problem here though. Do parents not pound safety into children now? We heard "Look both ways before crossing the street", "Don't run into the road" or "Stay out of traffic", "Don't speak to strangers", "Don't cross between parked cars" and it was constant, "Don't play with sharp things", "Tools aren't toys". Are kids not taught safety?
Or the fed govt should just take over this industry; I mean, we cannot let the private lawn mower companies be trusted with so much at stake.
They don't need any MORE ideas.
;-)
I've broken all of their rules, at one point in time or another.
COME and GET ME, COPPERS!
