From FReeper RushIsMyTeddyBear in another thread, this one is awesome. I could post these all day. Just like the other one from earlier today, an Obot shows up by himself at a peaceful meeting, townhall or protest, and start yelling and screaming. This guy is such a moron you can picture all 6 of his brain cells rushing to get to the front to pull this off, and yet . . . epic fail.

The media will report on this, but frame it in such as way as to put the blame on conservatives.

He’s a ‘preacher’ from what I’ve been reading. Will post more in a second when I dig it up.

IN THE SPIRIT OF BROTHERLY PROTEST - ZACK AND HARRY LYDE USED G-8 AS A CHANCE TO SPEAK THEIR MINDS ON A WORLDWIDE STAGE.
Savannah Morning News (GA) - Saturday, June 12, 2004
Author: Eric Williamson
The Lyde brothers didn’t need an opportunity like the G-8 Sea Island Summit to speak their minds.
As Green Party members and Glynn County community activists, they would do that anyway.
But it isn’t every day they get the opportunity to bend an ear so large.
The Rev. Zack Lyde gets fired up easily.
He’s the associate pastor of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church on G Street in Brunswick.
Harry Lyde , formerly of the New York City Police Department, seems to possess the cooler of the two heads, but he’s not mealy-mouthed either.
Both are passionate about a whole slew of causes, most of them relating to the plight of African Americans.
In their fervor, both can also switch - with mind-bending speed - from one issue to the next.
The Lydes were among the organizers of the Fair World Fair, which brought together a number of protest groups this week under one tent at Coastal Georgia Community College in Brunswick.
Activists numbering in the low hundreds gathered at the college as the primary rallying point for those who disagreed with the eight world leaders meeting nearby.
At conferences of The Other Economic Summit, or TOES, which coincided with the fair at the college, Zack at times got on such a rant that he would start to lose his voice.
At one moment, he could be talking about the importance of debt forgiveness to foreign nations, and in the same breath switch to his disappointment about how he, as a Vietnam veteran, was received when he returned home from the war. One tirade started because Zack said he felt excluded from a Tuesday afternoon panel on civil liberties and academic freedom, which he said should have had a person of color on it.

WHOOPS!
Lyde guilty in sexual assaults The former candidate for the General Assembly was convicted of abusing two girls.
Florida Times-Union, The (Jacksonville, FL) - Saturday, March 4, 2006
Author: TERESA STEPZINSKI and TERRY DICKSON
EXCERPT
“Detective Jackson and the Glynn police department uncovered a pattern of sexual abuse that had been ongoing for many years but had been hidden because of fear and intimidation,” Johnson said.
That influence was evident during selection Monday when Lyde ‘s brother, Zack , was seen greeting some people called for jury duty in the case. A sheriff’s deputy then reported seeing Zack Lyde near the jury assembly room.
That prompted a warning from the judge, who told members of the Lyde family and their supporters to stay away from potential jurors.
Harry Lyde was impassive when he heard the verdict. Before the jury entered the courtroom to announce the decision, Lyde handed a set of keys to a supporter seated in the courtroom gallery. He also said that his wallet was in a briefcase he was leaving behind.
Lynn Whatley, one of Lyde ‘s attorneys, promised an appeal.
“We’re not through,” Whatley said as he approached Lyde ‘s family, who was gathered around the courthouse steps.
“That’s right. We’re not finished,” Zack Lyde said.

Minister, ACLU file suit over protests Attorney: City, county laws make obtaining permit to demonstrate virtually impossible.
Florida Times-Union, The (Jacksonville, FL) - Tuesday, May 4, 2004
Author: Teresa Stepzinski, The Times-Union
A community activist and the ACLU are asking a federal judge to strike down Brunswick and Glynn County ordinances regulating protests during the G-8 Summit next month.
The Rev. Zack Lyde of Brunswick filed a lawsuit Monday in U.S. District Court in Brunswick against both the city and county. The lawsuit challenges recently enacted city and county laws that require permits and place other restrictions on public gatherings involving groups of six or more people, as well as related activities such as handing out leaflets.
Attorneys for the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union are representing Lyde in the lawsuit.

That story gets weirder- the "protester" is a well-know agitator from years ago:
G8 and Its Protesters- Loyal Opposition, or Anarchy?
Lord have mercy- this story is related to the old G-8 post:
Priceless. Violent Tea Party Disrupter Threatened With Tazer & Arrested in Georgia (Video)
A pro-Obamacare thug was arrested after threatening tea party patriots in Georgia this past week.
Click on the photo for video--

The violent tea party crasher was later arrested after he threatened the police.
The Tea Party Patriots had a permit for their protest.
First Coast News reported:
A man has been arrested in downtown Brunswick after disrupting a Tea Party protest against the Democrats' healthcare reform plan.
Around 20 members of the Golden Isle Tea Party Patriots and other participants were holding signs and waving at passing cars in front of the main post office.
First Coast News was there when Zack Lyde from Brunswick walked up shouting at the group and started a verbal confrontation with protesters.
When a Brunswick police officer asked Lyde to leave, he refused. As officers tried placing him under arrest, he attempted to wriggle out of their grasp.
Officers pointed tasers at Lyde until he dropped to the ground and allowed himself to be handcuffed and taken into custody.
Hat Tip KC the Kat
Here's more video of the arrest from a sympathetic CNN:
CNN reported that the crazed counter protester is a minister.
Maybe he studied under Jeremiah Wright?

What are we cheering about here? The guy was being an obnoxious ass, but since when is that a crime?
I’m against the cops busting non-violent political protestors, no matter what side the protestors are on. This guy’s confrontational tactics were strictly verbal, and unless I’m missing something he had every right to be there doing what he did.
And what’s this bull about a protest permit? I’m an American — I don’t need any damned permit to protest, and neither does anyone else!
I detest the Leftist rabble far more than does the average Freeper, but even the Leftist rabble have the right to protest freely in a pubic venue as long as they don’t get physical or otherwise violate the law or someone’s property rights. If the cops can bust this guy for protesting, they can do it to any of us.

cool idea, you are wrong... a permit was required, the Police followed the law, the preacher mad his point and was arrested for breaking the law...freedom of speech ends when your speech interfears with lawful assembly.
That is why you obey a Judge in the court house, or halls of congress, or in a church or school yard...the acceptance of this mans disruptive behavior to a group who have followed the law, must accept the law will protect their right to assemble per the permit issued!
If not we have the SIEU thugs inciting violence and then we have a riot!
To: B-Chan
PS my comments are not to imply you and I are in great disagreement with the right to express ourselves as Americans, I know the left is grossly wrong in their tactics, lies and ignorance, yet it is the elite leftist like O, Ayers, and dim leaders that will do all they can to silence us if we step out of line they have drawn...when that happens, the gloves are off and we will have Revolution! The civil Tea Parties, will win the day because they are the heart of what America is, not the slick propaganda of the leftist/ Marxist, they are less than 30% of the country...
If we get true conservatives in control and do not make the changes to serve all Americans...we too should be thrown out
