Obama’s Numbers Sink Lower

Another new low for Obama:

obama_index_august_31_2009

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That’s the lowest level of total approval yet measured for Obama. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove. Eighty-one percent (81%) of Democrats approve while 83% of Republicans disapprove. As for those not affiliated with either major party, 66% disapprove.

This is including one day after the canonization of Kennedy....no push upward from that embarrassing spectacle.

Patterico:

A savvy friend thinks 2010 will be a repeat of 1994. It’s obviously too early to say that, but these numbers can’t be encouraging for the Administration.

He's not alone in that feeling:

I wish the administration would hurry up and ban the incandescent light bulb in favor of the EPA/GE CFL one. That will really make the fence-sitters see the light about liberals and their idiotic policies.

My guess is that 0 is seething over these numbers. I doubt he’s hurt, just angry. Can’t wait until he starts barking at the citizenry. He started to somewhat with his depictions of the town-halls.

Arrogance in a person is something few people fail to see.

That translates into something on the order of 60 million American morons who still think the muzzie in chief is doing a good job.

Hardly a cause for celebration, more like an indictment on the populace and an indication that until the franchise is extended exclusively to tax paying citizens there is not much hope for this Republic.

Another possible sign of BHO's popularity fading:

I purchase Previews, the comics/pop culture monthly catalog. Buying it and looking through it have been exercises in pure pain since 11/2008, maybe longer. Why? There have been waaaay too many comics with BHO as a character. I do not mean BHO as a walk in/deux ex machina; pretty much all presidents get that. I don't mean bio comics-there were a few of those as I expected. I mean page after page of comics in which BHO is a heroic character : Fights zombies, meets Spider-Man and Ash from the Evil Dead franchise, etc. I kid you not-there have to have been 8-12 of these things being cranked out over the last few months.

The most recent Previews shipped last week. In it there were only 4 BHO comics : One was a one shot bio comic for young readers, one was a TPB reprinting of the Barack the Barbarian series (a satire in which BHO fights "Red Sarah") , and 2 more which seem much more ambiguous than previous Barack-worshipping comics. In one, he is "President Evil", still fighting zombies, but the descriptive blurb wonders if he'll win or release the apocalypse on the world, and in the other , BHO is fingered as her "baby daddy" by a comic line's villainess.

So either the BHO comics didn't sell so Previews is cutting back on such offerings, OR comic book creators no longer feel much desire to crank out BHO-worshipping crap at 2.99 a pop. Either way, the sudden heavy drop off in BHO comics seems to me a Good Sign, though of precisely what I am not yet sure.

The democrats have shot themselves in the foot, and it might well be fatal for backing the Manchurian and sticking to him....

I firmly believe this will haunt them for years to come. The average man wants a job. Obama cannot legitimately generate that. The business community can if there was a leader....

This dark horse will be the nemesis of the democrats for years to come.

It sure is interesting how these graphs show a dramatic change right around Independence Day.

More than a coincidence?

Right now we have to make it to 2010 and, FWIW, I'm not sure that we will, absent some sort of civil action (e.g. secession(s), rebellion, etc.). The way things currently stand, we cannot right the ship of state and stop the looming tide of massive federal deficits and federal taxes any other way. The current system in Washington cannot/will not correct all the Obaminations in time to correct those problems.

If cramming low-flow toilets down our throats didn't do it, the CFL issue won't do it, either!!

It's all because of Fox News. If he could just get FNC off the air, his approval rate would be at least 60%. Or at least have Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck replaced by Juan Williams and that black professor who used to teach at Temple University. It's so unfair. After all, George W. Bush didn't have Fox attacking him 24 hours a day as they do poor Obama.

He's been smart to leave most of the namecalling to surrogates, but I don't think he can resist making more attacks.

My thoughts exactly! The zer0 administration isn’t that worried because they will manufacture or take advantage of a crisis to stay in the majority.

Maybe, maybe not. One this is certain: it will be another bureaucratic dictate added to the camel's back.

Low-flow toilets? Meh. I get up and 'it's' gone. No outrage there. But not being able to see to the best available possibilities because of low light levels, well, that's a different thing, imo. And, of course, the politicians will be found out to be exempt from this law adding further to the masses' anger. And then there's the thing that it was GE's push, as I understand, to get this done in the first place. Hmm. Immelt?

Stay tuned.
