Google Hosts File (How easy is that? I just did it for you.)

When used, here's what the Newsmax.com website looks like (in Firefox) Look Ma! No Ads!

By the way, John LeBoutillier of Newsmax is a Douchemax.

Your problem is your internet browser, not Newsmax. It will get worse, too. You need to get a better security program than whatever you’re using. AdAware is pretty good, although the free one is weak. I think it costs $40. Once you get the system cleaned out, Windows Defender is a free download from Microsoft and works fairly well.

Firefox with NoScript and Ad Ban Pro will keep those pesky ads away.

As far as Ad/Malware removal, you can’t beat MalwareBytes! I’ve used it to clean up several virus-infested computers, and it’s free.
