We girls put ‘em in our hair to hold it up to expose our alluring and sweet-smelling necks. I don’t know what they have to do with this story.

Every night I load the 16th round into the chamber and the first thing I do when I wake is to clear the chamber.

You may already be aware, but be watchful for bullet setback .

He was 13. Probably couldn't read.

Either that, or he could only read in "text".

1. while pointing the muzzle in a safe direction, drop the magazine (not “clip” - idiot journalist alert)

I give the journalists a pass on this one. Many gun sites also use clip instead of magazine.

Well, they're wrong, too.

#1 rule of gun safety is treat all weapons as if they are loaded.

#2 Never point a gun at anyone unless you are prepared to shoot them.

I think they should sue the movie makers for the repeatedly showing falsley that dropping the clip renders a gun useless.

I agree. These are the same movie makers who show cars bursting into flames in almost every serious traffic accident, and planes going into power dives whenever the engine is shut off.

The defense is almost as stupid as the plaintiff:

"the Pacific Legal Foundation argued that neither the Cook County Sheriff’s Department nor Baretta should be held liable for the accidental death that was caused by unforeseeable conduct.

Some criminal pointing a gun at someone and pulling the trigger is 'unforseeable?

If that's their best defense, they are toast.

Adames was killed after his friend, 13-year-old Billy Swan, aimed and fired a Beretta 92FS semiautomatic pistol at him. The gun belonged to Swan’s father, a Cook County sheriff’s deputy who was working as a correctional officer.

The deputy and his son should be on the ones being sued for wrongful death, 2nd degree murder, failure to train the son in proper firearms handling and failure to properly store the firearm from access by minors. Beretta has no responsibility at all in this instance.

How many kids suffered brain damage due to the constant showing of how easy it was to knock somebody out by a blow to the back of the head and they always recovered without ill effects.

I hope you’re being facetious, because that is definitely NOT the answer. What will your kids do when a neighbor kid produces a weapon, or a friend, or a kid at school? I want my kids to know how to handle it, and know when the kid handling it is an idiot so they’ll duck and cover. Teaching the kids how to use them is the ultimate answer.

Even the slightest crimping can cause problems, and I've tried a variety of quality and it's not the determinant. It's totally a combo of any and all factors it seems--but for me, spring tension is a biggy starter, along with the specific gun. I rotate a lot and rotate out a lot, just to be safe. My newer Beretta Storm Px4 .45's magazines are almost impossible to fully load in the first place...getting easier though.

No intellectually honest person can draw a line from the unlawful end use of a firearm to the manufacturer

You are absolutely correct.

The problem and the danger is that we have very few intellectually honest people in our government today.

Great! Now we want to be able to sue Obama Motors, etc for car deaths and injuries.
I want a trillion bucks for the auto accident where my dad fell asleep at the wheel and crashed, dying of injuries.
All the car company’s fault for making cars that can exceed a walking pace.

If cars could not exceed a walking pace, lives would be saved.

It is worth it if even one life is saved.

I hope you’re being facetious, because that is definitely NOT the answer.

He didn't say it was the answer. He posted it as rule #2. Rule #1 was posted as always treating guns as if the were loaded.

Are you being facetious?
