North Carolina State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, the longest-serving lawmaker in the General Assembly, shot a home invader as he tried to break into his home Sunday. He shot 22-year-old Thomas Kyle Blackburn in the leg as Blackburn and another man allegedly tried to break down his door. They apparently were both legal clients of the senator.
The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun rights for you and me, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger, and was the victim of a crime against himself.
In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do as I say and not as I do" anti gun Democrat picked up his own gun and...

At first I though this had to be an ONION offering! What a great story. Naturally there will be TOTAL media silence about the breathtaking hypocrisy displayed by this arrogant ass. Surely this joker must have an email address. I think he should be “congratulated” on his bravery. Though perhaps one might ask if he still believes only HE should have the right to defend himself?
Indeed, the Raleigh News & Observer have been reporting several allegations the past few weeks but they have never published that he was a Democrat. YOu have to independently look it up. But now if they dont mention the party I just assume it’s a Rat. I’m canceling my subscription as the paper has gotten so liberal my husband and I spend most of the time laughing at the headlines.

See the North Carolina Grass Roots voting summary for 2008. Soles didn’t get a zero, but only got one star on gun rights out of four possible stars. Many bad gun rights votes. The people of North Carolina should know their own State Senator best.

Both intruders were recently in prison; both claim to be “clients” of Soles who is a lawyer.
Apparently Soles sent $8,000 to one of the guy while the guy was in prison. Hmmm - when does a lawyer send money to his “client”?

I was looking at the NRA grade.
The guy also has a rating of 68% from some grassroots organization.
The NRA has been supporting dem party candidates to encourage pro gun stances and sixty dem congressman sent a letter to obama stating they won’t tolerate antigun legislation. Those progun blue dogs helped us when they tacked on the amendment for concealed carry in National Parks. The tactic seems to be working but I will never again vote for a dem.
