I have always said that LBJ’s pursuit of these two basically contradictory goals was a classic example of a schizophrenic Presidency: much like a global acting-out of two contradictory objectives that “needed” each other to attain psychological “balance”. OTOneHand: The Great Society/War on Poverty basically code for ameliorating the African-American Condition, Inner City Despair, etc., and OTOH, at the same time, inviting Blacks to join the military in fighting the Red Menace in Vietnam. Blacks who wound up in Vietnam were WAY out of proportion to their actual numbers in the civilian population: more than 2 to 1. I was there in 1966, I know. LBJ’s equation could be seen as an early expression of the kind of nascent White Guilt that this new President counts on as his cornerstone for success. Inevitably, they both FAIL.
We already have an $11.9 trillion debt because we couldn't afford all the previous liberal programs. President Obama is trying to double down with at least another $10 trillion with the illusion of big returns so nobody will notice we can't really afford liberalism run amock.

Clinton seemed to be heading for a one-term presidency in his early years. Yet, he managed to pull out a win in ‘96, thanks in part to Perot’s 3rd party, but mostly to the GOP’s stellar nominee.
My big fear is that once he sees he’s losing his grip, the gloves will come off and he’ll get violent. The people are already rejecting him and his loony ideas, and all that needs to happen now is for the media to abandon him. But I don’t think that’s likely yet, because they elected him and they’ll stand by him.
Still, a wounded Marxist is a dangerous Marxist, even more so when it’s a wounded Muslim Marxist, so I think we have to be prepared for him to become very dangerous as he realizes that he’s losing support.

I’m just trying to guess what it’s going to be.
I suspect this clown is in for a major meltdown. He’s probably been surrounded all his life by people telling him how great and smart he is. Now, for the first time, he’s under real pressure and all the smoke they can blow up his bum isn’t going to make him any less incompetent. You can see his temper there just under the surface.
Remember when, after like two days in office, he and the wife “had to get out of the White House”?
Lyndon Johnson, a failed President? We’re still living with all the crap he shoved through 45 yrs. ago. How is that failure? Just because it’s destroying the country doesn’t count. Just because the Democrats have not made him a Saint like Roosevelt and Kennedy and re-named every street, P.O., airport, and grade school in the U.S. after him doesn’t count.
