Rep Allen Boyd (D-Fla.) is a skilled politician who has pretty much seen it all a Deep South Democrat whos managed to dispatch all opponents in his conservative-leaning Panhandle district since winning election in 1996.

Scared? Try pissed.
This is not a question of minority/majority. It is question of prudence.
You do not hand such a large job over to a concern - the US government - that has shown a terrible track record of managing large finances.
Well, listen, Mr. Blue Dog, you let Rahm Emanuel talk you into running, and you took Soros money to pound down the Republican opponent. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. You also have the option of just resigning, leaving the seat open to the next “blue dog” or even allowing it to revert to Republican control.
Pissed off at the job they have done, scared to let them keep doing it. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS (electorally speaking of course).
This Politico article is a pile of horse dung:
To wit:
“The overhyped and in many cases fraudulent sense of grass-roots fervor during an August Democrats would like to forget is easy to minimize. But for all the cries of Astroturf fakery and ginned-up crowds, a ground zero view in a district like Boyds underlines that a very real sense of anger and frustration is bubbling over as summer wanes.”
“A visit to Floridas 2nd District also is a bracing case study in the mounting political peril some Blue Dogs like Boyd may be facing.”
It’s either “overhyped... fraudulent... fakery ... ginned-up” [all that in one single paragraph!] or it is “mounting political peril”.
It cannot be both.
Yet the “objective journalist” of Politico writes the story as if it is “fake” yet also menacing.
This could only pass for “reporting” to the sociopaths and liars on Capitol Hill.
Scared. No, I am righteously pissed.
Brilliant analysis.
Mr. Blue Dog needs to realize that Democrats in general and the current administration in particular hold people like his constituents in total disdain. Fly-over populations are not to be considered in any legislation—other than as payers.
“Scared? Try pissed.”
Pee peed up?! :)
Only liberal politicians are scared. The rest of us are outraged.
They may be in a minority, but they are a larger minority than weve seen in the 20-plus years that Ive been doing this,
...the only reason there weren’t more is that this “minority” is working you f’n Marxist, fake, self serving SOB! ANYBODY (except Zell Miller) with a D next to their name is indeed a Marxist AND a supporter of BO’s agenda because they A- actually believe his nonsense or B- feel they have to jump on board to save themselves and their families or C- both.
I've personally known Alan Boyd for over twenty years and I can attest he is as dumb as a box of rocks.
Webb cited the stimulus before wondering in his next breath: I dont understand how a company can fail and then the head of that company gets a $3 or $4 million bonus.
...more ignorant wealth envy. It’s these kinds of boobs that keep voting “blue dog” ninnies into office over and over.
It could be worse, you could be 65!
That is a good question. Why not run that one past Harold Raines???
Oh yeah, it can always be worse. 0 might get reelected!
Boyd will hold “community forum” on 28 Aug at Panama City Community College.
Attendance is limited to 500. Free tickets in advance for pick up 4-8 pm at the college on 25 Aug.
It will be a panel discussion featuring the two-faced Boyd (conservative jive at home, votes with stretch pelosi 85% of the time) and three medical experts. Local TV News anchors will moderate the event.
This will not be a town hall. Only select questions submitted in advance will be answered.
That would not be worse, it would be a diaster.
