Going it Alone
And So It Goes in Shreveport ^ | 08/19/2009 | Pat Austin

It seems that the Dems are ready to "go it alone" on ObamaCare, according to this piece in the New York Times. Their current position seems to be moving toward blaming Republicans for lack of bipartisanship and refusing to compromise, and moving ahead with their plans for enacting reform on their own. Does that mean reconciliation? That much isn't clear.

The Times quotes Rahmbo who says "The Republican leadership has made a strategic decision that defeating President Obama's health care proposal is more important for their political goals than solving the health insurance problems American's face every day."

What remains to be seen is how many democrats are willing to stake their political careers on it.

Also I think its at least in part, a political PR ploy. There’s nothing the democrats would like more than to convince us we’re beaten so we go home and accept what they want to do.

What is this drooling Leftist muttering about?

Name ONE person, JUST ONE, who has been denied health care of any kind for any reason!

Our local (NH) hospital & emergency room clinic has a form on the back that you can fill our for payment assistance.

A family of four making less than $75,000 PAYS NOTHING!

The program is made possible by a number of sources of funds from private contributions, to churches and charities, to government programs.

No kidding. After an uninsured serious injury I was given a caseworker to help figure out payment options and govt aid options. She also pointed out that what wasn’t paid would be written off on the hospital’s taxes.

This would be the best possible action for the 2010 elections. The majority of Americans of all political persuasions are against this monstrosity.

Passage (ramming down our throats) would be good for us, but an election death sentence for dems in 2010.

Let them pass and own it!

I suspect that most entrenced Democrats value their own re-election much more than voting with the party on health care. This issue is going to define 2010 elections I think.

The rats are going to force a revolution in AmeriKa. They want to force it then bring it on!

We need to reclaim our country and or Government. This is the USA not Obama and Nancy’s USSA

We need to mobilize the the phones, the streets, the blogs. Let’s give the a bigger taste of their grassroots organizing the they gave us in 2008.

The people are talking quietly and are waiting for a leader to stopforward to lead our movement.

Let’s crush the RATS with their own game..

We need a national push for the Congress Critters to understand and embrace the concept of smaller government and less tax burdens. IOW, if they can legislature more spending, they can surely de-legislate wasteful & unauthorized (by the US Constitution) spending.

Unfortunately, our goobermint is using our sweat for their personal benefit and political payback / favor.

Refusing to compromise, a lot of that going around now and it’s a good way to stop Omana’s insane idea of healthcare.
