About once a month Obama has to remind every one that he is “the President”,

After listening to this the President made this young man’s point for him, in a rambling, round about way.

The student asked Obama "how in the world a private corporation" such as an Insurance Company compete with an entity like the Federal Government who does not have to pay property taxes and is not subject to regulation? These are not the reasons that private companies cannot compete. The government gets to charge EVERYONE for their services, whether they wish to buy them or not...

“We already have a private option such as the non-profit Blue Cross/Blue Shield.”??? It is embarassing to have such a stupid President.

I have to admit that considering the question he was asked, he did a lot better than normal.
He gave a very long winded answer of “The public entity will remain small by design”
Of course it was a lie, and completely contrary to what the actual bill so blatantly makes clear, but from a purely analytical viewpoint of his performance, I would have to say that Obama must be getting tired of getting caught off guard and looking stupid, as well as the accusation of stacking his audience. (catch the “I just want to prove” comment that he cut himself short on?)
I got the impression that Obambi actually did some rehearsing for REAL questions.
Now maybe he should actually read the bill before someone actually quotes it and asks him to parse it against his own claims.

Obama referred to himself in the third person? Richard Nixon did the same thing. It was eerie when Nixon did it.

BTW, no school credit if 0bama does debate you. Not hard enough to qualify. lol

I can't believe he made the same statement about Fed-Ex, UPS and the U.S. Post Office! Hasn't that already come back and bit him? Can he not come up with a better example where the government actually succeeded at something that did not drive out private enterprise?

Ahhh yes, the old “Post Office vs. UPS and FedEx” argument. The Postal Service simply could not compete if it weren’t illegal for other entities to deliver first class mail. They’d have failed long ago.

He actually shot himself in the foot by mentioning how the “government-run” USPS is having problems compared to FedEx, UPS, etc. He makes the capitalist point but doesn’t even realize it. The government sponsored enterprise is way more inefficient. Plus, they refuse to accept they need to cut costs. That’s why postal rates keep going up, not down.
