Here is unbelievable video tonight of MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell giving the most despicable display of rudeness to a guest I think I have ever seen. He had GOP Rep. John Culberson on and rudely badgered him again and again because he would not answer the way O'Donnell wanted him to answer.
He was badgering him over Social Security and Medicare's origins, which is not what is being decided today. Culberson nailed him eventually by saying, "Do you wonder why nobody watches MSNBC?"
O'Donnell flat out called Culberson a liar. He was totally unhinged. Culberson responded:
"You call me a liar on national television? It's objectionable. It's offensive."
I've never seen an interviewer on a network or cable news network behave this badly. O'Donnell is unhinged because he knows Obama is losing the battle on Health Care. Expect more of this behavior as the moment of decision on ObamaCare draws near. . . .(Watch Video)

Good grief. Is Lawrence using coke or something? Geesh!
I’ve seen him more unhinged. What struck me is he had no real point.
At least Culberson got in a good shot. MSNBC is disgraceful but thankfully nobody is watching.
Okay, I forced myself to watch this one. The guy is definitely certifiable.
The proper answer, and the one that I never hear, is that medicare cannot survive without the private insurance market. Hospitals couldn't stay in business only accepting Medicare reimbursement rates. It is the higher private insurance payments that keep the facilities afloat. It is and was NOT socialized medicine, but a ponzi scheme. It was never designed to insure the entire population. It wasn't even designed to cover this many people. It is a failure and it is killing us.
peter schiff answered this question better. He said, no he wouldn’t repeal these medicare programs because you have created a society of dependance so they need it. If it wasn’t created in the first place, people now would’ve more money and and health care system would’ve been cheaper and they wouldn’t need it now
Some loser on MSNBC,CNN or any basement fascist blog can say something nasty about conservatives and it’s accepted as the gospel truth from the omnipotent Cosmic Granola (better source than God) by the MSM and ALL Leftist politicians and fellow traveling RINOs.
It’s the Bizarro world or us.
Gotta get the people to choose which one to believe—in spite of American Idol.
Sorry, I could only barely get past half way. I can’t stand to even look at the O’D guy. He can’t possibly think he is a journalist. MSNBC (Mired in the Socialist No-Bama Circus) doesn’t even belong on their own channel anymore. It might consider sharing time with the Comedy Channel.
O’Donnell has been pushing the envelope lately. I have about 5 viral videos of him going bonkers in the last 2 weeks.
That kind of answer only works with someone who is actually open to debating you. Few libs are. TV talking heads, never. That answer would be reported in the next news cycle as “Mark Levin says YES, HE WANTS TO END MEDICARE! Proof positive that conservatives want old people sick and starving!”
(I heart Mark Levin.)
This reminds me of O’Donnels meltdown with the “swift boaters”
“creepy creep”
The simple answer to O’Donnels set up question is that, no we can’t just do away with SS and Medicare at once because it has become ingrained into the fabric of our society.
But the programs are fiscal disasters. Do we want to make things worse?
odonnel sole purpose is to catch gop off guard and saying the wrong thing, so they could use the soundbyte against them later on. Culberson cowardly say he probably would’ve voted for it, even though, yes its a socialist program, only because he’s afraid it will be taken the wrong way to current elderly who’s afraid gop will remove it
WOW, Lawrence O’Donel is a mental incomptent!
If this is what MSNBC is passing for journalism, no wonder MSNBC is in the tank.
This is what Obama has working for the state run media.
What a turd! But if anyone says Social Security and Medicare isn’t socialism, they are either stupid, or a liar.
O'Donnell is a Bully.
A very stupid bully.
I agree with this, but there are other answers to what O'Donnell was arguing. First, Obama’s plan would gut Medicare, so the only party talking about ending Medicare is the democrat party. Second, Medicare was set up for the elderly - for people who were likely retired and no longer able to use employer sponsored health plans. So, there wasn't a decision to be made by employers as to whether they should keep private insurance as part of their compensation package, or to just pay a payroll tax and roll everyone over into the government run system.
That is VERY different from Obamacare in which employers will most certainly dump their private plans and stick people on the public plan for the lower cost that subsidized and rationed public health care will be able to provide. There are lots of additional arguments. We should take every opportunity to paint the democrats as the heartless inhumane party. It's important to keep them on the defensive, where they deserve to be. Paint them as the elitists and arrogant party that they are. The irony is that they can be put on the defensive with the truth. Conversely, they often put people on the defensive with untruths.
